It’s far from hideous. It might not be what you had in mind, though.

I think this is a beautiful dress and really is very cute for a bridesmaid to wear!

If some already purchased their dresses and the store won’t issue a full refund to them (or the credit on a new dress) then you either need to accept the dresses or personally reimburse them because you can’t expect them to buy another dress on top of that one because you changed your mind.

Not hideous. What would you switch it to?

Not hideous at all! Looks like a typical bridesmaid dress to me.. not awful, but not super great either.

I think it’s cute. Personally, I am going for a long dress look. However, If I were to go short… I would do a dress more or less exactly like that. The sweetheart neckline and A-line skirt are characteristics that are flattering on all girls. You can certainly dress it up with a statement necklace or earrings if you need it to be ‘more’.

Overall, I love it.

I think it looks like an average bridesmaid dress, but I’d be careful of the raised mid-waistline with pleats: might give some girls a “tummy” that has never been there before.

If some girls have already bought it, you need to find a way to get their money back or pay for their new dress. A Bridesmaid or Best Man shouldn’t be responsible for purchasing 2 dresses just because you changed your mind (but I assume you knew that!)

@ktmcgwvu08:  I think it’s very pretty. Definitely not hideous – I bought long dresses from David’s, but if I had gone with short, I probably would have chosen one of those. I would not advise changing them now, unless you can get a full refund for the girls.

Don’t think it is hideaous at all.

Your description of “cute” fits.

Your WBee Profile says your WDate is Late June… so I think the dress is perfect for the weather.

What colour did you choose ?

I think it’s actually pretty cute. I does depend on how it looks on your actual bridesmaids of course.

If you change your mind, you will need to pay for the second dress. There is no way that it would ever be ok for bridesmaids to have to pay for 2 dresses.

@ktmcgwvu08:  Those were my bridesmaid dresses and I thought everyone looked beautiful. My girls actually picked them out 🙂

I think it’s cute. If I were a bridesmaid, I’d be happy because there is so much worse out there. However, if I already bought the dress and the bride tried to tell me I needed to buy another dress, I would say “no” and drop out do the wedding if it was really an issue. IMO that’s just way too much to ask of a Bridesmaid or Best Man.

what if you changed dresses for the others and rocked the mismatch look.

David’s bridal will allow you to exchange dresses If you want. I exchanged a bridal gown for my bridesmaid dresses. They all got different styles but same flowy material and color. when they came back I didn’t like my MOHs so we took it back and they allowed her to exchange it for something else.

Definitely not hideous!  I’d be fine wearing that.
