First cycle TTC after a chemical pregnancy in January. AF is supposed to arrive this Saturday. I’ve been symptom watching, which has done nothing but make me insane, and most of my PMS symptoms I had earlier this week are gone now.
But anxiety got the best of me and I couldn’t resist POAS this morning, two days before AF is due. Sometimes my cycles run long, so these TWW have been killing me.
Anyway, here’s the result of my test this morning:
I know it’s too early to get my hopes up. This line isn’t as “strong” as it was when I was pregnant with my son 2 years ago, but I did test earlier this time than I did with him. This line looks similar to the one I got with my chemical pregnancy in January.
Sorry for the long post, I’m just anxious and looking for some support. Thanks, Bees.

It looks positive but blue dye tests are notoriously unreliable. I would go grab an FRER and test on that just to have no doubt!

I know it’s so hard not to compare pregnancies, but they really are all different. So the line being different really only means it’s different: it could be a bad test, or this one implanted later, your pee was more diluted…it honestly means nothing.
What DOES mean something is you got a freaking BFP and you’re pregnant! Congratulations!

slomotion : I’ll go get one today, thank you for the suggestion. I’ve never used a FRER, do you know if I need FMU for it?

Big Truck : You can just not drink anything for 4 hours and then use the test with that concentrated pee. If the blue dye is showing that strong, you should have no issue unless the blue dye was faulty.

I’ve never used blue dye tests myself, but that looks really positive to me. I’d find it hard to believe that you still had that much HCG in your system if your CP was over a month ago. I think congratulations are in order!

bjenmomma : Thank you! When I had my CP, the OB did blood work and by the end of January my HCG was not detectable. I had a fairly regular period in February and then just got lost in my head this whole month so far. Here’s hoping!
