I’m looking ahead at the weather, and it’s been raining non-stop in upstate NY for weeks now… and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be letting-up anytime soon.
Our wedding is going to be outside, and our reception under a tent. Of course, if it rains, we’ll have both the ceremony and the reception under the tent, but… my problem is: all of our formal pictures were going to be outside.
My Aunt’s lawn is huuuuge and has beautiful greenery and trees… if it rains, we’ll probably have no formal pictures taken at all. I’m confident in my photographer’s abilities to take great photographs, but she’s not a magician. I’m not expecting her to make magic out of sh*t.
Now I kind of feel like throwing up, because if you wanna go back in time to when my Fiance and I first got engaged, we were going to just elope up in Napa Valley (we live in CA). And I’ve regretted *not* doing that ever since. And this rain-situation is just another cruel reminder of how stupid I am to have caved-in and set up a wedding just to please my family. sigh.
Has anyone else had to deal with rain on their wedding day? How did your pictures come out? Care to share them with me?
