What did it not do around our wedding?

The day before the day before it snowed and we had ice until mid afternoon of the day before.  The day of it rained all day long and was cloudy and gross.

Thankfully our ceremony and reception were both inside.  We did not get to do the reveal we wanted to do, which sucked but it turned out okay.

@SoontobeMrsA: Thanks for the shout-out! I am not going to lie though it still bugs me a bit that I didn’t have my gorgeous outdoor ceremony 🙁

@SoontobeMrsA:

Oh girl, I am with you. I’m having a late June wedding in central MA at my mom’s house.  If it’s nice out, all will be wonderful.  But her backyard is sloped in such a way that they can’t put a tent up.  If A) it rains and B) everyone on the 78 person guest list shows, we will be packed like sardines inside the house.  It’s a fairly big house with an open floor plan on the first floor, but still!  Especially because the caterers and servers and buffet table will also have to fit, the idea makes me nervous.

I keep trying to tell myself that probably at least 10 people won’t make it, and that it’s usually not rainy at that time of year. But I know very well I can’t count on either of those things. Eeps!!

It rained on my wedding day but our ceremony was late enough in the day that the rain had stopped by that time. However the ground was soaking wet! It rained from shortly after I woke up (rain started around 8 AM) until the time the photographers arrive (4 PM) but it was downpour. The entire day I thought we were going to have to move the wedding inside which I was depressed about. Then out of nowhere the sun came out and stayed out – it was pretty awesome 🙂

I know a few of the bees had rainy day weddings – Mrs Trail Mix, Mrs. Tiramisu (check her recaps out – youll be amazed), Mrs Frozen Yogurt….I’m sure there are more but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head!

No, but it did rain on our wedding night, which was perfect! I love rain and it made the night feel cozy in a victorian inn we stayed in. It rrained the ENTIRE week before our wedding day, but nothing on the day. Thank God.

It rained all day on my daughter’s wedding in late June last year. The venue knew we wanted it outside if at all possible, so they left everything set up under the tent and they had it outside. A half hour later it again began to pour, so they got outside pictures under the gazebo. Her gown got saturated,tho,so make sure you have a hairdryer handy just in case!

@SoontobeMrsA: I am terrified of this happening because there is no plan B at our venue. We have a tent so if it rains I guess we will be dry.

Mrs Peep Toe did a post on rainy weddings.  I am not sure what the title was but it contained some gorgeous pics of rainy day weddings.
