Did it rain/snow/any type of bad weather on your wedding day?!

Oh yes!  We had the hottest and most humid day of the summer! It rarely gets to 100 degrees here, but oh boy did it on our wedding day!  The church, which has no air conditioning, was sweeeeeeltering for out 5 pm ceremony.  Plus, the sprinkles of rain cut short some picture sessions. Then the reception was extremely hot as well even though it went from 6-11!!!  The heat just never broke and the sprinkles of rain only increased the humidity!  LOL.  Despite the weather, we all had an amazing time!!  My grandmother, however, continues to complain to me about the heat, even though our wedding was almost 6 months ago lol.  Nonetheless, I would advise you to ease up on your worries, and just let what happens happen 🙂 At the end of the day, you’ll marry the love of your life!

Rain, in Southern California. It was annoying and set us behind almost 2 hours. Outdoor wedding and reception. -.- My hair looked like crap. But we’re married so oh well it happens.

It rained on our wedding day. We lucked out and it stopped about an hour before the ceremony so we still got our outdoor pictures and ceremony.

It actually ended up perfect because the I overcast sky made it so the lights above our ceremony site popped more than they would have on a sunny day and the rain made everything so vivid and green:

It snowed 2 days before our wedding in Sourhern California. Luckily it was in the 50s on our wedding day, and nobody needed chains. It actually made our wedding scenery much prettier for pictures!

The hill behind us is normally just brown dirt lol.

It stormed the night before, but was still 95F out. I would have loooooved a bit of rain, since we could get everyone out of the weather if need be…but couldn’t easily escape the heat, and we were entirely outdoors.

Our wedding day was beautiful and then about 10 minutes before our ceremony was to start a storm rolled in with horrible winds and went from a nice sunny day to really really cold and windy. As I was getting ready to walk down the aisle, our flowers blew off of the wine barrels at the beginning of the aisle and our signs blew over. It was horribly windy for our whole ceremony (I.e. my hair is all over the place in all of the pictures) and it started pouring about 15 minutes after we got inside. I am just thankful the rain held out..It could have been much worse, but I definitely could have done without that wind!!

Not me, but my cousin was walking down the aisle when the sky opened up and poured down rain. Her Maid/Matron of Honor had an umbrella and was able to mostly save her hair and makeup. The rest of us got drenched because they decided to just continue on with the wedding. Luckily it was summer so it wasn’t cold. She got beautiful pictures, but I remember most of us being miserable. However, the misery was mostly due to her poor planning. She was 3 hours late to the wedding so the food was cold and the vendors showed up to start taking down the tents before the cake was even cut. Morale of the story, the rain wasn’t the deal breaker, the planning was.

My wedding was in August and it snowed on the mountain we had it on the night before! Luckily it was just a little, but it dropped the temperature dramatically for the wedding day. The weather held out for the ceremony, but we had to move everyone inside for the cocktail hour because it was too cold. I knew we would still be in the midst of monsoon season so I purposely picked a venue where people could go inside. It started raining and hailing while we were finishing up pictures, but I had anticipated this and brought cute clear bubble umbrellas and we got some great rain pictures. It actually ended up hailing pretty hard and we were kind of far from the venue. We had to literally run back and the photographer ended up having an asthma attack because she wasn’t used to the altitude.

It poured rain on my wedding day last month! It ended up being incredibly romantic and our first look on a (covered) porch with the rain falling softly all around was AMAZING! I worried so much about it leading up to the day, but in the end it was so special and perfect.

I’m not married yet but when my parents got married it was thunderstorming. They said there were big crashes of thunder while they were saying their vows and it was all very “dramatic” according to my mom. Lol. Luckily they were married indoors in a church, so they didn’t have to worry about the weather affecting anything.

the were thunderstorms predicted on our wedding day when I looked a week out… then the actual day was one of the hottest of the year, so we had different concerns. It was SO HOT. It obviously made some things a little different (the celebrant had everyone wait under the trees for shade until the ceremony was about to start, photos took longer cause we were so hot, and needed to stop for water). I was mentally prepared for everything except wind though- I had a back up plan for rain, heat was to be expected in the middle of summer, but wind scared me so much! Luckily the venue had great aur conditioning so it wasn’t bad for the guests, just us lol
