@RubyStar:  Well I disagree completly with your DJ. I had one and Yes, there was a long line but NO, it did not take away from ppl dancing at all. They did both and I got so many compliments on how fun the photobooth was.  🙂

I had the dancing-ist reception ever! The people at the venue said they had never seen one packed so full. We also had a photobooth. It didn’t hold up anyone at all!

there will be plenty of time for dancing and taking pictures. yes, your guests will have to spend some time waiting in line, but it doesn’t take that long to get your pictures taken and printed out, so the line moves pretty quickly.

I think your DJ is wrong. I’ve seen photobooths at weddings twice, and it was not an issue.

I don’t think it will take away from the dancing at all!  Our friend had a photo booth, and the dance floor was packed the whole time.

I’m also getting a photobooth, in just 16 days! Our DJ never mentioned about it taking away from the dancing, and I wouldn’t expect it to!

From the weddings I have been to that had a photobooth, it did take away from the dancing. There was hardly anyone dancing.

I worried about this issue too .  We or I decided to just have 2 hrs instead of 4 for the rental.  To me it just made sense.  everyone got in at least 2-3 times (except me , boo) and the dance floor was packed at all times! Plus saved a few bucks doing it this way too.

We had a photo booth at our wedding and our guests LOVED IT! It was set up from 9PM-12AM and it was perfect. No one has the energy to be on the floor from 9PM until 2AM, my guests had something to do when they wanted a break from dancing. Also our parents/older family who don’t really dance had a blast with it.

They also made a copies of the pictures and put them in a book and everyone signed and wrote little notes to us, we had so much fun reading it after. People had so much fun with it, and there way always people dancing. Money well spent!!
