So to complete my application, I had to do a pretaped video interview. The question is shown on video, and you’re immediately on film for one timed minute to respond. This was so hard! Usually I can sell it in an interview and feel good about them, but I know I did way less than stellar. The first question was walk through your entire resume including all school and work from beginning to present..in one minute!
They said it would take a half hour but it was over in under 10 min. This sounds like it would be a good thing but I was like wait! I didn’t have a chance to say anything useful! I had some good answers, some I feel I really flubbed (at best completely missed a chance to sell myself, at worst sounded like an idiot lol) and made one comment I didn’t really mean they way it came out and I’m afraid portrayed me wrong (that I’m using grad school to avoid work- not what I said or am trying to do but what I think it sounded like through my nervous explaining).
The rest of my application is good, and I feel like the interview is now a negative to add instead of positive. How bad do you think this hurts me? Has anyone been through this? Thanks!!
