Just wondering what the stats are. Someone told me that the Clear Blue one is the best but I am wondering if it really matters.

I used the cheapie wondfo OpK from Amazon and they worked great! I got a positive every month on cd 15-16 and O cd 17 confirmed with temping/charting. Now I’m 18w along!
Timing wise, yes they helped. I used Walgreens OPKs and got pregnant my first month off the pill (last month). Ended up losing that pregnancy, but hopeful for this cycle and will be using them again.
I used them the first cycle and got pregnant, however it ended in a MC. The 2nd cycle I skipped them and did not get pregnant. I will be using them again this cycle!
We tried for two months, then on the third month I used OPKs and we got pregnant. We are now 29 weeks along! Not sure if the OPKs had anything to do with our success, but it certainly helped us to ensure optimal timing.
I used them this cycle to get an idea of timings and I actually ovulated almost a week after I expected to. Yet to find out whether it ‘worked’ but I definitely got positive lines on the stick if that’s what you mean?
I was charting and used a cheap one from Target. Good thing I did because I had a very short cycle the month my daughter was conceived-I would have been off by several days.
I used the Wondfos from Amazon as well. I would definitely recommend them. They really help you narrow down your fertile days. We concieved cycle 1 using them but it ended very early around 4 1/2 weeks. Continued using the OPKs and conceived cycle 3. Currently 36 weeks pregnant.
I use the wondfos to pinpoint O date. They won’t make you pregnant but can help you know approx around what days you might O and so that can help your timing.
Yes, they help with timing. I used the first response OPK and got pregnant on my 2nd cycle of TTC. I also heard Clear Blue are the best and easy to read.
We used the clear blue along with temping/charting. The first time I got pregnant it took 2 cycles (pregnancy ended in MC, unfortuntately). We tried again a few months later doing the same thing – OPKs and charting, and we actually got pregnant in the first cycle – expecting twins this fall! 🙂
I actually preferred the cheap ones over the expensive digital ones. The digital ones just tell you whether your LH levels have peaked or noT. With the cheap ones, you will go from stark white to purple and it’ll get darker and darker as you get closer to reaching the LH surge. I had a very short surge and was testing twice a day. we basically started BDing every other day once my tests started showing any level of purple. I think I got 50 strips, plus 10 cheapie pregnancy tests (which confirmed my pregnancy 9 DPO) for about $23 on Amazon!
i actually have about 30 (maybe 35) of the OPK strips left. I’d be more than happy to send them to you if you want to pay shipping, which will likely be $5 or less. Let me know!
I used wondfo opks for one full cycle. I didn’t think I ovulated because the line never got as dark as the control, however here I am at 7 weeks pregnant! I think what happened was my pee is always so diluted because I drink a gallon of water every day. So, yes, they worked and only with one cycle!
Yes I used them and got pregnant but like Jfinch it ended in an early miscarriage. They are a good way to see what’s going with your body and when you ovulate. I just used internet cheapies and they worked just fine so I wouldn’t spend a huge amount of money on the expensive ones
The topic ‘Did using an OPK work for anyone? If so, what kind and how long did it take?’ is closed to new replies.
