    He didn’t believe in true love before he met me.  He actually gave up on dating a year before we met (not just a line- his mom tells me the same thing!).

    i used to have a best friend who thought that way because of her parents. she was a child of divorce and, in the time i knew her, her mom went through 8 husbands. she’s engaged now (according to facebook), so that’s probably changed.

     

    i couldn’t answer your poll because there was no choice for both of us believing.

    I didn’t for awhile. I thought people just used people to get what they wanted out of life and that was the way to go. I do love my SO now and I know that. But when I was younger, to me it was a concept that didn’t exist.
