if you bought or rented linens for your wedding, how much did you spend?
our venue provides plain ivory polyester tablecloths and napkins. boring, basic, plain. they’re well taken care of, but you can tell they’ve been used for a lot of functions. so, i’m pricing out purchasing silver organza overlays and chair sashes, silver pintuck taffeta runners, and silver polyester napkins. here’s what i’m thinking of ordering:
- 130 silver polyester napkins
- 22 silver puntuck taffeta runners
- 18 silver organza overlays
- 125 silver organza chair sashes
the total for that came out to be around $280 with shipping. do you think that’s reasonable? i would try to re-sell after the wedding. or even keep a few of each thing for use.
i have sent emails to a few different rental companies out near our venue, so hopefully i’ll hear back from them. if it’s less expensive to rent, i’ll rent. but after looking at prices on other rental company sites (out of my area), i’m pretty sure it’ll be more expensive to rent.
so. do you think that $280 is reasonable for what i’m ordering?

We rented purple linens, for table cloths. I believe it was $15 a table. The rental amount for the head table linens was around $900 by itself.
I do think $280 for what you are ordering is reasonable.

We are renting our linens for tablecloths and napkins. I think you are getting a good price.

@Dixiesgirl: smartyhadaparty 🙂 the napkins are sold out, but i priced them out in the total.
@BrandNewBride: @mrspizanotobe: thanks! if i wanted a specific color, i would be a little pickier. but they’re silver. it’s an easy color, know what i mean?
@TorontoBride2be: see, $900 is what i’m afraid of. $280 is doable, but i don’t want them to turn out being terrible quality.
@drlolaz: the website shows the items in photos. they look pretty decent to me! maybe i’ll order a sample of each, just to see. and check the quality.
