@MsGinkgo:  We had recently bought a roll of 100 liberty stamps so that’s what went on our domestic post.

For our engagement party invites I just used some american flag stamps we had. I don’t think it’s really a huge deal unless you’re picky about it. People throw out the envelopes anyway.

Kind of. I wasn’t willing to pay more for specil stamps, but I did look through all those available in the demonination I needed, then we just picked our favorite!

I didn’t care too much but if I managed to get on magnolia stamps I would order a few (whch I was lucky to be able to get them).  I certainly wouldn’t have paid more for special stamps though.

@MsGinkgo:  The purple and yellow ones?  Yeah, we got those for the invites too.  It was either that, the cute baby animals or the flag.  I think I made the right choice, although I’m pretty sure no one would have noticed one way or the other.

I didn’t want the boring flag stamps, but they didn’t have anything pretty.   I went with the limited rock band stamps, RUSH, whic was perfect because RUSH is one of my favorite bands and our music theme for our wedding is all classic rock, lol.   I’ve had several ppl message me and say they love the stamp and that it was very ‘me’ lol.

For the actual invites, I got special stamps bc I found some that matched our invites, and this wedding planning has got my inner perfectionist to come out. For the RSVP envelopes,  I just had my Fiance get the “prettier” (white roses) stamps at the post office.

@MsGinkgo:  The best surprise of our wedding was when the guy at the post office puled out the 42 cent stamps and they were WEDDING CAKE STAMPS!

I didn’t care. We just went in and bought rolls of stamps. We have gotten quite a few invites in the past few months and I can’t remember what stamps they used at all.

@MsGinkgo:  It goes in the garbage anyway, so I don’t think you should stress over something like this. Plus when it goes through the post it gets all marked up from the post office and delivery. I honestly never even knew people cared about stamps, lol.

OMG they’re just stamps! No one looks at the stamps except the postal service. I don’t feel sorry for stressed brides, if this is the kind of shit that even crosses their mind lol 😉

The only thing we did want was any “LOVE” stamps or cake stamps.  Other than that it was a free for all, basically what every we thought looked nice that we found online.  My favorite was the “earthscape” stamps because they were so pretty.

I hadnt even thought about it. But if they have pretty stamps for the same price, then why not?

Thankfully most of mine will be handed in person though.
