He picked it out. I didn’t know he was going to be proposing so soon after we started talking about marriage. He had asked me basic questions (type of gold I preferred and I also told him I don’t like big diamonds) and he picked out the perfect ring for me! His sister went to the jewellery stores and sent him pictures of rings with her phone then he’d say what he liked and didn’t like about them and together they narrowed it down to my pretty. 🙂

I think he already has it though, so im voting that he picked it.

He surprised me. I gave him a general idea of what I would like though.

My almost husband picked out my engagement ring. He despises it (Long story…) so we’re picking out another one despite me loving the one I have.

So, technically, he picked the first one and we picked the second one.

we went and looked at engagement rings together and I would send him different pics of things that I liked long before the engagement. So when he was ready he had an idea already of things i liked

I picked it out.  I know exactly what I want and he hates shopping.  Easy enough.  Oh and we decided we were getting married (and when) before he bought the ring so there wasn’t any surprise to ruin by me picking it out.

I wanted my proposal to be a complete and utter surprise too, and it was.

I would bring up styles of rings that I liked and ask Fiance, “what do you think of this? I think it looks really pretty…”

We never actually went and looked at rings together, but he knew I wanted white gold, a solitaire, and a princess-cut diamond.

But I had NO IDEA he even went looking at rings or that he’d bought one, and my proposal was a TOTAL surprise. The ring he picked was amazing. It was a white-gold solitaire cathedral setting, with a princess-cut diamond and- wait for it- ‘surprise’ diamonds at the base of the setting! It literally could not have been more beautiful. <3

    Fiance custom designed mine.

When we first started talking about getting married, I set up a pinterest board for him to spy on of rings I liked. There was no ring like this included! In the end, he decided what would be perfect for me – a dainty solitaire with a unique, artsy twist – and he was definitely right!

ETA: I just looked on that board to see what I’d posted. This was the one I told him to get. :3 Fiance really did come up with my ring totally on his own!

@gangqinjia:  Your ring is so beautiful. The detail is just lovely and it’s one of my favorite rings on the bee. I adore it! How big is your center stone, if you don’t mind me asking?

My husband picked my ring out. I had told him 6 months into our relationship that I wanted a good quality diamond, didn’t care about anything else and he did a fantastic job! There is something si romantic to me about him going store to store to find me the perfect ring.

We picked together, sort of. I looked at rings, picked out my favorites and told FH that he could pick his favorite out of those for me. Luckily, he picked out my favorite of the bunch and that’s the one I got.

@JemmyGee:  Thank you so much, that means the world to me! And of course I don’t mind you asking. It’s .52 ct. The ring is a size 6, but that’s just to get over my knobby knuckles – where the diamond sits is actually is more like 5.5.

My Fiance picked mine out all by himself with really not even any clues from me as to what I preferred. We’ve been together for almost 12yrs. now and had talked about getting married one day and he had actually asked me twice before but without a ring. But for some reason idk we never really talked about or looked at what kind of ring I would want. When he asked me to marry him Christmas day last year even though I had an idea he might ask it was still a total surprise. As soon as he opened the box I started crying. He had bought me little promise rings in the past and not done that great of a job so when I saw the sparkle I was in aww. I can’t say that it is the exact style that I would have picked but for the amount of money he wanted to spend he picked the best one, I did my research after! lol Once I get the right band I think it will be perfect!!! He told me going into the store he had no idea what to get but talked to several people at the store and kind of explained me to them and they thought that the one he picked would be the best choice!
