When we started talking about getting engaged, we went out to look just so he could see the general style I liked. I didn’t want to pick out my own ring! But when we tried the one on, we both just knew it was the one, and that no other ring could compare! He did all his research and chose the stone, and my ring is just perfect 🙂 Mind you, I waited over A YEAR before he decided to give it to me LOL!!

Wow your Fiance has great taste your ring is gorgeous!!! Is that rose gold? gold? I thought I was the only one who was going to have a gold engagement ring. Seems like almost everyone has white gold, silver, platinum now a days.

Thank you! It’s 14k rose gold. My next choice was yellow gold – I love
contrast between the diamond and the gold – but Fiance and I decided that the softness of the rose gold fit my personality better. I agree that white gold/platinum/etc is way more common… but I prefer it that way, do you agree? 😉

When we first started talking about getting engaged I showed my fiance the types of rings that I liked, but he immediately said that he wanted to go ring shopping together. We decided to go when we were on vacation where my parents live and I found my perfect ring there. He bought it while I was with him because it was several hours from our home and too far for him to go back and get it without me. It was a very special day for us and I’m so happy we did it that way.

The rose gold looks so nice with the diamond! I have a cross that is rose gold and yellow gold. I want a yellow gold ER. I absolutely love gold and all my jewelery is gold. I think it looks better on my fair skin (I am really fair with blonde hair and green eyes.)

We went shopping together a few times so that he could get an idea of what styles I like but in the end, he picked it out him self. 🙂

I’m not engaged yet but I know he has the ring, and I was the one who picked it out because I was the found who found it on craigslist.

I DEFINITELY picked mine out….he can NOT be trusted with something I’m going to wear the rest of my life. I can’t even imagine what he would come home with…honestly, lol

I told Fiance exactly what to get. I showed him pictures of the same ring over and over again. When he was ready he went out and got it. So yes, he picked it out. But with lots of direction from me.

Well I told my fiance I wanted a round-cut solitaire with a white gold band. I left the rest up to him and he did awesome!
My sister helped to narrow down his selection and provided my size. I’m very happy!

We went shopping together… I didn’t want him to get me something that I hated since I’m the one wearing it my entire life. I figured I at least should have a say in what was picked out. So we looked together a few times, I showed him the ones I really liked, but I left the final decision up to him. I didn’t want to know when he got it – I wanted to be surprised. It worked, he did wonderful 🙂

We designed it together. We were in the process of working with the jeweler on a 2nd redesign because she messed up on the 1st one, so Fiance proposed with a stand-in which I now wear on my right hand. It has a pink created sapphire like my e-ring so it matches 🙂
