Just wondering if there are any moms out there who conceived without seeing a positive on your OPK (if you tested that month?)
The reason I ask is I’m pretty sure I did not the last time I was pregnant. I think I am one of those who has a hard time finding my peak.
But I was just wondering how common this might be….

I never get a ‘true’ positive. I got pregnant on our 3rd cycle, but I also temped and used OPKs for 3 months prior to starting to TTC. Each month was the same pattern, the OPK test line would get darker and darker, but it was never as dark as the control line. I think it’s because I drink way too much water and can’t ever manage more than a one-hour hold. When TTC, I was definitely a bit worried by it, but clearly not enough to actually test out what would happen with a 4-hold and no water 😛
It wasn’t a problem, though. Currently 16+4!

Yes, that was my experience before with the tests with the lines! I’m trying a digital OPK right now and actually don’t think I like it as much. I prefer to see the fade of the lines over days. I hear you on the waiting to pee – even when I’m NOT drinking enough water, I still can’t wait that long! ha ha 🙂

No, but I charted TTA for awhile and there were a few months where I didn’t get a true positive, but it was much darker than the normal faint ones. I used wondfos and I think a batch of them weren’t quite as sensitive as the others. So eventually I ended up holding them in my pee longer than it said which helped (full 5 sec vs. 3 sec- and I did it the whole month so to not throw one day off). But my temps confirmed O and all my other signs. So I’d go back and change that darkest test to a positive in my chart.
