I didn’t cry. I was super excited that it was the first dress I tried on, and that I didn’t have to try on so many I forgot which one I liked best. No tears here!

@Sparkidoodle:  Nope. But I couldn’t sleep the night between when I decided I was ordering it and when my mother and Future Mother-In-Law gave their approval. When it came in the mail (I ordered used) I tried it on by myself and didn’t cry, still super excited though. And then I tried it on for real (as in I had someone take pictures and button the buttons) and I didn’t cry but refused to take it off for a solid hour.

I was…. really happy and excited when I said yes to the dress. Then for some reason, as we left the store, it just hit me. I AM GETTING MARRIED! I have finally found the man I want to spend forever with. And as we walked to the car, I shed a few tears then, in the parking lot.

My mom and sis didn’t cry, but I was welling up. Because my family is very stoic, I think I stayed dry-eyed. Had someone shed a tear I would have been crying like a baby!

I didn’t cry, but I got goosebumps when she put the veil on me.  It was just me and my mom together, no real intentions of buying the dress that day, and it was the first dress I tried on!

Hell no. It’s a dress. I like my dress, it’s a lovely dress, but I’m getting married to a man I love and get to spend the rest of my life with him. That’s the point, not a white dress and a wedding. That’s the part I care about.

I did cry… I didn’t cry vocally… but the tears just kept quietly streaming down my face… when I turned to look at my Mom, she had tears too 😀

Btw, I never thought it would happen.  I never understood it until it happened to me.

no offense at all to anyone who cried. But, for me, it was just a dress. I was excited to find a white dress that didnt make me look like a cow…that was about it LOL

@bestbuddies:  That was my goal, too! And honestly, the dress that I went there for I tried on first.  It was great and I was happy.  I then tried on 3 more dresses and the last one did something to me!  I was fine was she was doing the corest in the fitting room, I thought it was a nice dress.  I came out and showed my Mom.  We thought it was nice.  I took this long walk to the big mirror and… cried.  I cannot explain it, it was everything I wanted and more.  I never thought I’d find something that beautiful and feel so beautiful in it.  I think it’s the moment where all the stress leaves your body and you just know it’s the one.  Well that was my experience anyways : )

I did not cry,  but my mother, grandmother and Future Mother-In-Law were over there crying like babies and mumbling something about needing margaritas ASAP
