I didn’t cry, I was too busy smiling at how easy it was to find a dress!

I’m not sure I felt anything other than “I don’t want to try on any more dresses, I guess I’ll pick this one.”  Since then, I’ve gone back and forth with dress regret like a crazy person.

Nah; I didn’t cry.  I wandered around the shop in my dress for the better part of an hour, returned to my little pedestal, and announced, “I think this is my dress.  Mom, do you think this is my dress?”  She said, “I think this is your dress!”  We high-fived.

(By the way, we are the kind of women who cry over dog food commercials.)

I was.. other… just indifferent. I liked it a lot, but i didnt know if it was ‘the one’ at the time. I think it was because I was buying it on my first trip to find a dress sort of on a whim (I was at running of the brides) and bought it as a back up in case I didn’t find anything better so I didn’t really think it was the one cause I had every intention of dress shopping again, which I didn’t end up doing.

I kinda had a panic attack. My dress was over priced and my mother insisted that it was perfect and she was paying anyways.

My Bridesmaid or Best Man and I went out of town shopping and it felt like we were on a dress marathon.  I found my dress but didn’t buy it at that time.  We went to a different store and I tried on more dresses.  It was closing time so we went back to the hotel and I called the bridal boutique closer to my home to order it (different city than where we were visiting).  I never really had the OMG this is my dress moment.  But it all turned out just fine and I still love my dress

I was relieved. I was happy inside, but I wasn’t all outwardly giddy and stuff. I definitely DIDN’T have “the bride moment”. I was just like, I really like the way this dress looks on me, let’s buy it.

I had searched and tried on several dresses so I was more just thinking, please let this one be the one because I was starting go get down to the wire in terms of ordering time.

@Baccara:  My mom was there and we are also the type to cry at dog food commercials, neither of us cried. It was a matter of fact moment and that’s it. The wedding will be a different story I’m sure.

YES! i did…I took my mom and my bridesmaids to look.  It was my first store, my first appointment, and I’d only been engaged two weeks! lol. When I tried on my first few dresses, it didnt hit me at first. I tried on several and it just felt like trying on long white gowns…it wasnt until the sales lady brought me a veil that suddenly it hit me…and everyone I brought.  We all shed a few tears, just over what this meant!  I tried on about ten dresses, but there was one i kept coming back to.  I had seen in months ago in a magazine, before I was even engaged, and i cut it out.  I didnt even know where it was from, and then there it was.  The moment I put it on, I knew.  I came out in it and everyone cried.  It was really special.  I bought it that night!…and regretted it the next day. lol. of course! But, i just picked it up yesterday and tried it on again-its perfect 🙂 and i love it!  all regrets totally gone.

No tears for me!! I smiled alot..haha…but it was really just a moment of “Ahhh” & I knew it was the right dress for me. I had been browing through the David’s Bridal site for months before & seen SO many dress reviews where girls were saying they ried & their family members cried. So I was wondering what it was going to feel like to find “the dress” & if I was going to cry tears of joy like all the Brides on the DB site said. Nope! But it was a good moment with my Mother that I will never forget! 🙂
