honey421 : 36+5 for my first. My water broke and she arrived about 12 hours later. Technically, she’s a preemie, so I have to check that box on forms and stuff, but she was totally fine, no NICU or anything. Second was at 38 weeks exactly. As my OB said, apparently I “cook them fast”

TheGridMonster :  no history of premature birth. Just cooked faster than average 🙂

honey421 :  even if the baby is late that doesn’t mean they’re big or 9-10lb babies.  Mine were 7lbs 4oz and 7lbs 9oz.  And our families are tall and both me and my husband weighed 8lbs+ (and my husband was the smallest of 4, the largest was like 10lbs), go figure!  So even if baby is late, don’t let it worry you.

I had preeclampsia so that affected it for me, but I delivered at 32w6d. No family history of preeclampsia so it was completely unexpected. I was diagnosed at 30w and put on bed rest and Bridal Party meds until it got out of control. My situation is not that common though, so I definitely don’t want to scare you!

    OP, TheGridMonster :

Three babies, one almost four weeks early, the other two two-three weeks early. I have a shorter cycle–24-26 days instead of 28ish. FWIW my doc said women with shorter cycles tend to deliver a bit earlier and women with longer cycles tend to go a bit longer.

thumperbear :  all without intervention. It’s madness, I know. (Fun fact- I’m twin 1)

    Twins 1&2- fraternal girl/boy

    Twins 4&5- identical boys

    Twins 6&7 (unplanned)- fraternal girl/boy

honey421 :  what do you consider too big? My Dear Daughter was 98th percentile big, but that still wasn’t too big for a vaginal birth. You’ll be ok!
