Hopefully this question isn’t too confusing 🙂
For those who have already had a baby did you deliver similar to how you were born? For example if you were 3 weeks early at birth did you have your baby early or if your mom was 2 weeks late with you, was your delivery similar?
I was early as were all my siblings (by at least 3 weeks). I’m hearing from a lot of friends that this means I have a good chance of going prior to my due date. Any truth to that? I can’t seem to google myself out of a paper bag today.

@cora_123: My husband and I were both 2 weeks early… Ill let you know in about a week and a half if this is true for me lol. I am currently at 36 weeks and 3 days.

I was born on time, my oldest was late and my twins were born early. I don’t think there is any truth to what you heard. There are too many variables that can cause an early or on time birth.

@cora_123: I’m going to hope that the opposite is true for me in almost all aspects. I was 10 days late. Same goes for weights… I was 9lbs5oz and Darling Husband was 10lbs3oz… OUCHIE!!!

I’m not sure but I’ve been wondering the same thing. Both my brother and I were born 2-3 weeks early and am currently almost 3 weeks away from my due date. I’m hoping the baby comes early rather than late.

@MrsBG: Ouch is right! Jeez!
I was born exactly on my due date, but was 9 lb 2 oz. I’d love to have my kiddos be as predictable as I was, but much, much smaller haha.

I was two weeks past my due date. I delivered my daughter three days before hers. I think everyone is different.

@kate02121: My Mother-In-Law is so tiny too. You’d never guess she would be able to birth a baby that large! My mom said carrying a baby that big is awful. My sister was only 6 something and she said the end of her pregnancy was WAY more manageable.

@kate02121: it’s the predictability that I want! It’s so hard to plan lol. My cousin just had her 5th baby, she had all 5 boys exactly 5 weeks early and she was 4 1/2 weeks early herself, if I go early it’s going to make my maternity leave all wonky.

@cora_123: Interesting question. My sister was born a week early and both of her babies have been early (one by a week, the second by two weeks). I was born a week late. Will be interesting to see when my LO is born. I have a feeling she’ll be a few days early, but we will see.

@cora_123: Yep, my mom had me a month early and I had my son 7 weeks early.

I was a born month early, my mom had preeclampsia, and had me in 20 minutes after being induced.
I was about to have pre-e at 39+3, was induced, and my labor was 26 hours.

@cora_123: I was born on time hehe 🙂 My mom shared with me her last period before getting pregnant, and she is/was fairly regular with her cycles something I don’t have. I hope my kids come on time, not earlier nor later.
Also, my mom used to have us fairly fast like in less than 12 hours from the time she had labor contractions. I wish to be like her.

This is very interesting, but in my case I hope it isnt true since I was born at 28 weeks and I sure do not want this little guy to come out at that time :/

No, but then again I was a multiple. We were a few weeks early. My son was 3 days early.
