We’re thinking of DIYing a photo booth for our wedding. We have the space, a photographer friend who’s willing to lend us all the necessary equipment, and a photo printer to print photos, and we can get props, but I’m sure there’s a lot more we haven’t thought about. For those brides that DIYed a photobooth–any advice?

We are doing one, but using instant fuji film – we plan to hire someone to take the photos for the few hours it’s open.
Are you going to have someone take the pictures? You can purchase buttons for your guests to press that autmatically take the picture. There are alot of programs out there to help with a DIY photo booth.

We’re having one. We used a shower curtain as a backdrop. Bought polaroid camera/film, tons of props and built the stand for the backdrop. My sister will take a couple photos per group. That way the guest can have one and so can I, in my scrap book.

jenilynevette: Our photographer friend suggested that we hire someone to take the photos and to make sure things run smoothly, so I think that’s the plan, yeah. I thought about doing a button and having people do it themselves, as I like that idea much better than having a random stranger around, but my friend doesn’t think it’s the right way to go, and he’s the professional, so.
mreject: If at all possible we’d like to do something similar and have the photobooth photos act as a guest book. 🙂
