(Closed) Did you do a groom's cake?

Another Southerner here. We did one! I don’t have a pic on my phone, but our groom’s cake was actually about 8 different flavored cheesecakes because my husband loooovvveeess cheesecake but is sort of ambivalent about regular cake. My Mother-In-Law made all of them and there wasnt a single piece left. She also had a small cake made into the shape of a beehive that was the “centerpiece” for all of the cheesecakes because my husband does beekeeping as a hobby. I’ve never been to a wedding that didn’t have a groom’s cake.

I’m also from the South if that makes a difference. Getting married in Maryland but originally from NC. A groomscake is not necessary but most things at a wedding aren’t necessary. It all comes down to personal choice. No right or wrong answer here.
