Well, I ate lunch right before I to ready and put my dress on at the wedding, so I think it would be ok to eat before the fitting. I’d rather the dress not be too tight during dinner at the wedding.

I totally understand this dilemma, and am anticipating going through the same thing!

On the side of eating before–don’t you want to be able to sit after dinner at the wedding? You’ll want your dress to fit after dinner, not just before!

Are you going to eat in the morning before your wedding?

I have heard fittings are hard work because of all the standing and you want to make sure you don’t end up light headed.

My friend passed out at her fitting and the store said that it was actually pretty normal because so many brides don’t eat before their fitting.  In her case that wasn’t why, but it seems like it’s pretty common and with all the standing still in a hot dress it often ends poorly.  I think you’re probably better off getting some brunch first – just not something heavy or that will make you bloat.

Nope, but not on purpose, I was running late.  I stopped at Chick-Fil-A afterwards.

I’d want to enjoy brunch so I’d see if I could do it after the fitting. Regardless of whether you’re going to eat breakfast on your wedding day if you eat RIGHT before your fitting you’ll either 1) not enjoy it and not eat anything 2) feel uncomfortable from just eating.

Or maybe see if you can do brunch and hour or so before the fitting so your stomach has some time to settle.

Just avoid really salty food or carbonated drinks, and you should be fine :).

Eat.  You’ll be eating/drinking at your wedding.  Make it accurate, not “ideal”.

You should just eat as normal, and keep to the same routine you have.  you dont wanna skip a meal specifically because of the fitting.

I’d eat before the fitting.  You’ll be eating breakfast/lunch on the wedding day before getting in your dress and you’ll be eating dinner while in your dress.  You want it to be able to fit for the day of!
