Hi Bees! I’ve been a longtime reader but have now decided to ask for some advice!
My SI would like to propose sometime this year (ee!). I have two heirloom rings, one from each side of the family. One is a simple solitaire and the other is 4 pretty small, various sized diamonds. We went band shopping today and my ideal situation, using the solitaire from ring #1 and two very similarly, but not exactly the same, sized diamonds from ring #2 for the accents in a trellis setting won’t work. Unfortunately the stones I would use for accents are too different in size to work in a single ring, trellis or not 🙁
So we have two options. One would be to get the solitaire in the trellis setting I want and get a small wedding band later, forgoing the 3 stone idea (and incorporating both sides of the family) because a ring wrap wouldn’t fit around a trellis. The other would be to have the the solitair in a Tiffany setting and then use a ring wrap as my wedding band, which places the two smaller ones far apart so the solitaire fits in the middle. No trellis look in that design.
I had my heart set on a trellis 🙁 Any bees out there end up choosing a ring that was completely different than they imagined? Who has a ring wrap similar to what I described?
