I got the man I wanted, and to me, the ring was secondary.

I did! Mainly because he ended up letting me pick my own ring. I absolutely love it AND what it symbolizes.

I went in a giant circle, first thinking I wanted a round solitaire in yellow gold, then going through pretty much every possible ring imaginable, and ended up back at my solitaire in yellow gold (which is what i got!).  Now I do think I could have gone with a pear morganite, because thats the one look that has actually stuck in my mind for the last year and I still really really want.  Other than my round of course!

I picked out my ring! I was having a really tough week who we went to the mall( I never noticed this mall has about 10 jewelry stores) We went into them all and I tried on a bunch until I light up at mine. I also didn’t think my ring was gonna look like this!

When I initially started looking, I was all into rings with a twisty design. If it had some sort of curvy design, I loved it! I also really liked all the “knot” style rings.

I will end up with a bezel set cushion solitaire. I totally did not think I was a solitaire girl since I really loved little designs and details, but after trying some on, I was sold. I also never liked cushion stones, but lo and behold, that is what I fell in love with. Bezels also really grew on me. I thought they were ugly before, but now I love ’em! Haha.

I didn’t pick out my ring at all, but honestly I think it is perfect.  A bit bigger than I was expecting…but I’m okay with that 🙂

That was very nice of his grandmother! Pretty ring!

I have always been into round stones and at first I had a .70 round but Darling Husband has always loved princess cut. So when we decided to upgrade we went to go look at princess cut stones. Long story short, I ended up with a 1.02 princess (celebration cut diamond) but I always knew I would end up with purple in my set somewhere and I ended up with an amethyst and diamond band. So my answer is yes and no…lol

Yup, what I thought I wanted turned out to be exactly what I wanted even though I’d never tried on e-rings before.  I did have halo lust really bad after getting engaged after seeing so many on the bee, and couldnt get it out of my mine, so I went and tried some on.. turns out, while gorgeous in pictures an on others, it wasnt for me.

Yes, I got exactly what I wanted (and had been lusting after for years) and I absolutely love it. I couldn’t imagine a different ring.

Yep! I custom designed my ring with Darling Husband based on what I decided I wanted after months of virtual ring shopping 🙂
