@Sesame Snap: I like the dress you bought more!

Yes, I found my almost dream dress. The image in my head haunted me till I found something close. I searched high and low for it for six months, tried on 100+, maybe 200, bought three others before her, and found her one month before my wedding. I wanted allover lace, and it had to be high quality alencon or chantilly lace, not beaded applique on tulle. It had to have a fitted top, sweetheart neckline, full skirt and scalloped hem. The only thing I wanted but didn’t get was a drop waist. Corset back would’ve been nice too to make it fit me better, if I only had more time for alterations. Pretty close overall πŸ™‚

This was my inspiration dress, and this is what I ended up with.

@meliss: Morning Meliss! Though I should be saying Goodnight as you’re 8 hrs behind me. lol

I searched and searched for my dream gown and I have a kazillion pictures of gowns with different element of my dream gown that I envisioned. Nothing that I found online had everything that I wanted, and then when I went in to try gowns on I found one that was 99% perfect. I decided to purchase it and add a bolero to it, so now it is my dream gown. It is everything that I ever dreamed of for my dream gown.

The first one is my actual dress. The second dress is my dream dress.

The first was my dream dress, but I had to be realistic…

@Sesame Snap: Hehe, yeah I became seriously obsessed for a while. My mom and husband (then FI) started expressing concerns about my sanity πŸ™‚

I wanted the Billy by Priscilla of Boston (and yes, it’s in the window here in Bevelry Hills. Sadly, I walk past it every night on my way to the parking lot) πŸ™

Here is what I ended up buying, it was $299. I’m praying it will still fit in 3 months:

@Miss Sardine: hi, I just called the store – it’s by Terani. I’m guessing it’s more a prom dress or event dress than a wedding dress. I just loved it b/c it looked vintage.
