I fell in love with my dress on my wedding day. Once my hair and make up were done and I had the whole ensemble together I just fell in love. Up until that point I liked my dress but has serious doubt.

My dress put me in tears…. as soon as they zipped it up, I got a huge overwhelming feeling that I couldn’t shake off, and when they brought the veil and I saw the entire picture, waterworks happened….

Needless to say I bought that dress and I can’t freaking wait to see it again for fittings!!!

Now, did I fall in love with it? I don’t know, I don’t get attached to stuff really….. the tears were most likely of joy and happiness, not sure if they were of love…

I was honestly expecting to just grab a white sundress or even a tailored grey wool suit (was thinking destination wedding/courthouse do at the time) but then on a whim I went dress shopping. I tried on 3 dresses that were along the lines of “ok, this is kind of pretty…whatevs”. Tried on the fourth dress and I ended up making unattractive “argh!” noises of “omg!” excitement. Didn’t expect to fall in love with it but got the spine tingles anyway 🙂

I loved my dress but there was no dramatic moment for me.  I just quietly chose my dress with my dad. 🙂

@freshflowers:  eehhhhh first, you should know i’m a pretty practical person. i tried on around 13 dresses, and ended up choosing the second dress i tried on because 1) it was my favorite of all the dresses i tried, 2) fit my theme, and 3) fit my budget. oh, and Fiance said no ballgown, and it wasn’t a ballgown. haha!

i never cried, but i did love the dress. i didn’t have any overwhelming, emotional feelings when i tried it on, if that’s what you  mean, but i did love it and thought it was perfect for me and my wedding.

@freshflowers:  Walked in to the store, saw it, loved it.  Had to visit it 3 times before I had the guts to make an appointment to try it on (like asking it out on a date…..) put it on, loved it, didn’t want to take it off.

@dancindavinci:  Awe thank you! Its actually Priscilla of Boston Platinum Collection – discontinued in 2012.

The style # is PL396 – This is it on the runway:

I am so sad they stopped production and closed their doors – my nana wore Priscilla of Boston on her wedding day in the 40s!

Needless to say they are collectors items… at least in my house! haha

@dancindavinci:  Awe I’m honored you’d ask but no, I can’t part with her… I had the navy blue crinoline sewn in as well so its very customized and I have this silly thought of some day having my daughter wear it or at least be photographed in it… 🙂

BUT I did have a look via google and I think there’s a few for sale.

Not sure what size you need but this site has one: http://www.tradesy.com/weddings/wedding-dresses/priscilla-of-boston-pl396-wedding-dress-78818#

Also I’d just keep searching for Priscilla of Boston PL396… There’s bound to be some out there! OR shop any of the other Priscilla of Boston gowns… They are definitely high quality, amazingly crafted gorgeous gowns. I could have worn any of them! THey are all so lovely!
