nervous after you had purchased your dress? Its been about 2 weeks now, and I am starting to worry I made the wrong decision! Is it just because I haven’t seen or been able to try the dress on?. I think I might feel better if I could do that, to remind myself I like it!
Anyone else go through this???

I have not had that problem. I am head over heels for my dress. But, as far as I can tell, that is not the norm. My cousin is getting married soon too and she is having some dress freak outs. A lot of the problem is that she keeps looking! Online, Say Yes to the Dress, magazines. I had to tell her to stop yesterday. She thinks that once she sees the dress again, tries it on, and know that is the dress she is getting married in, she will feel better.

Actually I never doubted! I knew it was the one and have felt that way the whole time!
However, I have heard of girls going through this. I bet once you try it on again, you will fall in love all over again.

YES! A few weeks after I bought my dress I panicked hardcore. For about a month. For the record, I had a milder version of said panic when my dress came in as well.
My best advice is to breathe deeply and try not to think about it for at least a week (longer if you can). That means no obsessing over other dresses, no staring at yours, nada. Work on something else about the wedding entirely. And then come back and look at pictures again and see how you feel. It might give you enough distance to know if the panic is really about the dress, or if it’s more about the committment to the dress than the dress itself.
Does that make sense?

I felt very nervous but then I took a step back, thought about why I had chosen the dress and thinking about how great it was going to feel on our wedding day and that made things easier. I am the most indecisive person you will ever meet (to the point that I don’t have a single peice of decore for fear that I will change my mind later… 4 months before the wedding) but I stuck to my guns and refuse to even look at wedding dresses in real life.

I am not worried but I am dying to get my dress already and have my first fitting! It is kind of hard to buy something but not take it home with you so I understand the feeling of nervousness 🙂 I keep looking at my pictures from the day I bought it until it comes in next month.

I was super nervous and posted a similar post. I keep looking for confirmation from other people. I got some really good advice from people on the site. Here is my post:
Anxious about your dress?
Hopefully it will help you feel better. It made me feel better.

Thank you ladies!
Just knowing other people have had (or know ppl who have had) the same feelings makes me feel a bit better.
@lox: “more about the committment to the dress than the dress itself” I think your words hit the nail on the head. I always have this feeling like… what if I woulda tried on 2 more dresses… would I have found one that was better. I NEED to get that out of my head.
@amberaustin: thanks for the link! im checking it out right now

Nope! It’s my dress. =) No doubt about it.

I doubt mine all the time. Yesterday I was ready to switch. Today my best friend talked me down from the ledge and I am back to being happy with it.
I never thought I would have such a roller coaster ride over a gown!

I got nervous about mine, but I have a pic on my computer from the day I found it that just looks so good, I feel relieved. And seeing all the fancy designer dresses definitely makes me think about it, but mine is really perfect for both me and our wedding, so I’m still happy. Just breathe and relax – it’s off your to-do list and now you can focus on other things.
