I hardly notice it at all…..except for the pretty sparkly distraction of it 😉

@LincsMama:  At first I noticed mine, and it was weird. I would knock it against things, and if I put my hands in my pockets it would get stuck. I never took it off because it annoyed me, though. After a couple weeks I got used to it. I still knock it around sometimes (but that’s just bc I’m clumsy), but I panic when it’s not on my finger. Now, I don’t feel it at all and my finger feels so naked without it.

And just wait until you start wearing your wedding band. It’ll be the whole process all over again. lol

It was weird for me at first and I almost felt embarrassed and would hide my hand a lot. But after a few weeks it felt like part of me and now at a month+, it feels weird to NOT wear it. So don’t worry too much 🙂

It was hard at first. It was always getting caught in my hair and I scratched my forehead a few times.

I was used to wearing a ring on my hand, but the shape of it took some getting used to.

I wore a ring on my hands for a few weeks before the proposal, just because I knew it was coming “soon” and wanted to sort of condition myself against certain behaviors before I put on The Ring. My engagement ring is heavier and larger, though, than the emerald ring I had been wearing so it still took some getting used to. But now that it’s been on my hand for the last two months I barely notice it unless it spins and gets into an awkward position.

I wear plenty of rings, but when I got THE ring I have noticed that I don’t really like wearing it at work because it gets in the way a lot (I do a lot with my hands). I end up taking it off and putting it on the shelf in front of me while I work or if I wear my wishbone necklace, putting it on that so it doesn’t get banged around.

@LincsMama:  No- they fit perfect so they are snug enough to stay on, but loose enough that I don’t notice them sometimes.  Looks like the weather is cooperating in MN, so you should get your ring today 🙂

No, I got used to mine pretty quickly. But I also spent a lot of time making sure my ring would be very comfortable for me to wear day to day. I tried some larger rings that I knew I would never get used to and would take off too frequently. So I stuck with something smaller and simple but still beautiful. I never really wore rings frequently before and when I did I would always take them off as soon as I was home. So I knew I needed something I would be able to wear all the time without feeling the weight of it on my hand all the time.

I wore rings on both my ring fingers on either hand all the time. It didn’t bother me to wear an engagement and wedding ring.

It took me a little while to get used to wearing a ring. Maybe two weeks. Now my finger feels weird when I don’t have one on!

@LincsMama:  yes and no. my e-ring has a plain 2mm band and is really low profile, so it was super comfortable. I wore it 24-7.  it was when I added my wedding band that it got uncomfortable. I finally decided to size up both rings so they wouldn’t feel very tight, and soldered them together so they’d always line up. that helped a whole lot. but after a few months I decided I still didn’t like sleeping with them on, so I take them off at night.

one day I might get a new set, and comfort will be the biggest factor when I choose the style.

@LincsMama:  Yes! We got engaged in the winter and I was sized in the summer so I was always thinking it would fall off, get lost in a glove, etc.  Plus, I never wore rings before, I’m used to it now though (after 2 years!)
