I think the bees are all “named” out after the post earlier today. Anyways, to this day I get jokes about my very very Nigerian (Igbo) name. I take it in stride though.

Yes.  My surname is pronounced like “acres”, as in “acres of land”, but not spelled that way.  It’s still mispronounced.  And kids would call me “Green Acres” and such.  I honesty think every kid has had, at one point in their lives, been mocked because of their name or something arbitrary.

My name is Jessica which is not really a tease worthy name. But, I have always been pretty messy and my fourth grade class thought they were terribly clever for saying “Jessica is a mess-ica!” Ugh… annoying.

Never. My first name AND last name are ridiculously boring and popular. So I never got made fun of for it. Even after I get married, my last name will still be boring!

No, but elementary school aged kids cannot spell my name for anything. I remember one time a kid tried to convince me that my name had to be spelled U-h-m-i-l-l-y-a, which was the worst variation I’ve seen thus far, haha. I got “Amelia Bedelia” a lot, which I rolled my eyes at a lot. Obviously it doesn’t bother me NOW. 😉 Or stupid comments about flying planes….

Not a lot, but my maiden name rhymed with “clowny” which a couple guys in like grade 3 thought was hillarious.

No, I had a super 80s-baby name, so if anyone tried to make fun if it, there were 3 other of “me” to back me up 🙂

However, there are a few songs with my name in that I HATE. Of course, people think it’s fun to sing these songs to me (loudly, in public, once even choreographed by 4 guys). Uuuuggh! *facepalm*

My name got changed from “Kim” to “Kimmy” all the time which was annoying.  Some at one point, people modified all three of my names (first, middle, last) so that they all rhymed with “Kimmy” and would constantly say them together.

My last name is Shirkey. In school everybody would always say ………Shirkey, always Perky. It took me a long time to realize they didn’t mean I was always alert. LOl. That really makes me laugh.
