I am having a really hard time dress shopping and could you some advice. I am an avid watcher of Say Yes to the Dress which I think has polluted my ideas about how dress shopping should be. I have tried on about 25 dresses and feel like I could honestly wear half of them, they were all so pretty and gorgeous. I felt good in most of them too. But I am having a really hard time deciding what dress to get. The one I am leaning towards is really big and poofy, ballgown style, which I never envisioned myself wearing. I usually go for more subtle, elegant styles, but I really love how fun and whimisical the ballgown feels. I just don’t know how you are suppose to decide. I feel all this pressure to have a perfect dress. I know it might sound like a silly dilemma, but alas, here I am…How many of you felt like you just knew which dress you wanted? And what did it feel like? I don’t have that OMG I HAVE TO WEAR THIS feeling and I’m afraid I might regret the dress I buy. Thoughts?! Help! 🙂

I’m a very “I love it, I’m going to stop looking” person so for me it was easy. It’s the only dress I’ve ever tried on and maybe I’m a little sad that I haven’t done more and had more of an experience, but I did know it was right.

I put the dress on and it was like it was made specifically for me. It fit in all the right places and the color was perfect with my skintone. Strangers in the bridal salon were saying “that dress was made for her.” Plus my mom and grandmother cried and I could not stop smiling. It was crystal clear to me that I had found my dress.
Not everyone is going to have that instantaneous moment though. For some it’s a love-hate relationship with their dress. Others might always be searching for “the one”, never satisfied with what they have. Don’t beat yourself up over not having some huge moment where a golden glow suddenly engulfs you and angels start singing. That stuff only happens with movie magic. 😉

I tried on 50+ dresses before I found my dress. I knew it was mine when I said I wouldnt change anything about it.

voted-love my dress but could wear something else.
my dress is very lovely and close to what i had drawn up in my mind after trying on Enzoani fernanda but I wanted a less dramatic skirt. A huge sway for me was the price though-very affordable compared to most all the others i tried and liked and wanted.
If i had a bigger budget or made it a point to just go all out no matter the cost, I would be in a different dress for sure.
but i feel very pretty in my dress, sexy vintage romantic and that is all i’m after.
