Did you give single friends plus ones?

One way to avoid the problem your friend suggested is to have your single friends indicate the name of their date when they RSVP – that way they won’t just indicate a date and then plan to figure it out whenever and forget, they’ll know they need to have a specific date in mind

Also – we gave friends travelling from far a plus one and single family members a plus one. It worked fine! very few brought someone they weren’t dating (like, one or two “random” plus ones)

natasha0b :  We invited all SOs we were aware of (though SOs are not plus ones, some bees seem to refer to non-married people as plus ones) and gave true plus ones to our wedding party and singles who were traveling from out of town.  Most did not choose to bring plus ones since they knew a lot of people there and RSVPed accordingly.  I think it’s nice to invite plus ones if you have the room and budget, but not necessary.
