Derp:  We thought about it, but the price was out of the question for us.  I actually just booked the Presidential Suite at the hotel where our reception was for that night.  We had a rewards card that all of the money we spent at the hotel went on, so we actually got the night for free.  We will probably eat at the restaurant that all of our food was catered from, and just have a romantic night!  At some point, we WILL be going back to the same place we had our honeymoon – maybe our 5 or 10 year?

We went on a 7-day cruise for our honeymoon & then a 4-day trip to San Francisco for our 1 year anniversary.  This year we’re just planning a nice evening out 🙂

We didn’t have enough money for our original honeymoon plan and whilst we absolutely adored our time in New Zealand (& I actually think it was a better choice for helping us recover!) we’re hoping to be able to go to Thailand for our anniversary. It might not be as flash as the resort we were  dreaming of but it wherever we go I’m sure it will still be special 🙂

My husband and I always lean more towards experiences versus gifts, so for every anniversary we have taken a trip. We don’t do the exact same thing as our honeymoon becuase we are more adventurous and prefer to go somewhere new. But regardless of where you go, I think trips are a great way to celebrate milestones!

I’m not thinking of it as a second honeymoon, but it’s an anniversary trip. I don’t plan to ever go back to the resort where we honeymooned. It’s lovely, but I mean…we’ve been there already. We had a Destination Wedding and while I’m sure we’ll return to that island at some point, I don’t think it will be in a hurry. We love taking new adventures!

We didn’t do a second honeymoon, but we went to my hometown for a visit that weekend.  We went away on/close to our anniversary for the last 2 years, but it’s only been like a 1-2 hr flight.  This year we will be going to a cabin about a 3 hour drive away from us.  Darling Husband loves to celebrate milestones with little trips and I won’t argue with that 😉

For our one year anniversary, I will likely be in the hospital in labor with our baby!

We also aren’t doing a second honeymoon, but we are going on an anniversary vacation during my winter break (I’m also a teacher).  We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon and spent soooo much on that trip that we can’t afford to go there again any time soon!  We’re going to Key West this December.  We have put off TTC for a bit because we want to travel more first.

Derp:  We didn’t exactly go on a “second honeymoon,” but we did go to Turks and Caicos in June, but this is our second year of marriage. But I kinda liked the idea of going on our honeymoon when we got married (St. Thomas) and then two years later we went to another fabulous place. I would take a fabulous vacation every year if I had the funds, hahah

We will be travelling during for our first anniversary (don’t know where yet). However we’re not thinking of it as a second honeymoon, just a vacation.  We try to travel twice a year, and we just happened to take the same week off but it was more to incorporate the long weekend into our vacation.

We wanted to but we can’t get time off around our anniversary again (I’ll be in grad school, my Darling Husband would have trouble with his job). So we are going on vacation in January instead. We’re going on a cruise just like we did for our honeymoon, although on a different cruise line. We’re very excited!

Not married yet, but I doubt we’ll go anywhere. We try to have a big International trip every other year. At this point that’s within our budget because we don’t ever put things on credit, we save up for all of it- I’d rather have a big International trip that lasts 7-10 days every other year, than do small domestic trips every year. No judgments on other bees, I’m an army brat and my Fiance and I have moved a lot so we’ve pretty much already been to every state, many more than once. We want to see the world, so this is how we plan on doing it!
