So the girls at work have been teasing me lately about me turning into a Bridezilla. I haven’t hadby moment yet although lately I feel like if I will have one it will be telling my Future Brother-In-Law where to go and how to get there. Other than that I think I have things under control, maybe as it gets closer it will change lol
What about you ladies, did you have the moment and with what?

@couawilou: I ALMOST had one picking out flowers with my mom… I roped myself in a bit before it got worse… lol
I love having my Mom’s help, but she thinks she’s an expert in almost every thing… lol. God I love her and SO GLAD to have her in my life.. I know others aren’t as lucky so I would never complain… but when I was deciding on flowers, I surprised myself at the wholesaler (a friend of my family is doing my flowers) when she kept making these comments about what SHE would like, and what SHE didn’t like, and arranging them “just so” to her preference and being really specific about different things, and I just lost it for a moment after she asked me a question and I was like “SURE, I don’t care, it’s not MY wedding” lol.. luckily we both took a breath and laughed it out. Cause she knows sometimes she acts like it’s her wedding all over again, even though we’re spending MY (and my FI’s) money 🙂

I believe I had 2 small ones. I don’t really want to write about them here.
One was about penis straws, lol.

- Wedding: July 2012 - Walnut Beach Resort
When my mom forgot to pick me up for my final dress fitting, so I got there 10 minutes late, then my dress didn’t fit right, that was my one and only brdezilla moment! (3 week before wedding)

@Juliepants: Penis straws??? Haha now I’m really curious :p
@FutureMrsBG: Yah my mom is not here to help, she’s 6 hours away and I do miss that part of planning with her. It’s nice that your mom is able to realize that it’s your wedding and not hers hehe

I cried at the seamstress because the bustle was messed up and sticking out on one side. She told me nothing could be done, which put me in tears. She felt bad and came up with a solution afterall but I had a major freakout haha

I’ve had one moment so far which I feel was justified. I ordered FI’s wedding ring. The only ring that he has ever wanted. Apparently it was supposed to take about five days to get to me. When I finally got the tracking number it had never left the country or origin. I live on Beverley street in Canada and the ring was sent to Beverley Hills California! I found this out two months later, called the ring company four times, left four different messages and sent three emails before someone finally got back to me. All the lady on the phone said was ‘It’s not MY fault I’m not the post office”. After I was done with her, I called USPS and asked them for help, they were useless and apparently offended when I asked ‘can anyone at your facility read?’ They then started blaming Canada Customs for not allowing the ring to cross the border. I called Canadian Customs….. and had a hissy fit. I then called Visa and very polietly told them my situation (since I have insurance through Visa), they had the ring to me the next day. All in all it took about three months, not fice days.

I had three… one when our best man dropped out, one when a package got sent back by our post office that I needed, and one when my finace refused to pass on a softball game to help me clean the house for his friends.

I had a minor moment when my fiance’s mom wanted to wear a dress almost the same color as the bridesmaids.
You know those things that you don’t think will bother you until they happen and then you’re really bothered? I didn’t think I’d feel so strongly about her wearing the same color as my bridesmaids, but it really irritated me. I politely asked her to choose a different color, she claimed it was the only dress she could find, and I said I’d much rather prefer if she recycled the dress from her other son’s wedding instead of wearing the same color as my bridesmaids.
And then I flipped the eff out at my fiance about how unreasonable she was being.
Definitely didn’t expect to feel so passionate about a dress color! But it all worked out in the end, and I wasn’t a bridezilla to her face, just to my fiance. 😛
