No, we are having a night wedding until 12:30 am, so we will just be going back to the hotel.

I’m planning to order an ivory dress from the bridesmaids section of J.Crew for our rehearsal dinner, and I would totally wear it again should my friends decide they want to go out somewhere else after the reception ends. Easiest way to find a simple white dress!

Yes! I’m also thinking about it, Haven’t quite decided yet. I guess it depends on if I find something I like.

I’m totally going to wear my wedding dress! Might as well rock it for all it’s worth!

I’ve seen white dresses at Limited, Loft, and Banana Republic in the past few months.

I got a short wedding dress specifically so I wouldn’t have to worry about this.

Yes, I have a simple white summer dress that I’m going to change into for after reception festivities. Bought it from Victoria’s secret for $29.

We didn’t go out afterwards but if I did, I definitely would’ve bought a cute white short dress for the occasion. I didn’t think I was going to be hot either but between the adrenaline and the yards of fabric underneath (I did a DB crinoline under a silk organza dress), I was overheating! When I sat down at our sweethearts table, I would secretly pull up my dress to my knees to cool off.

Here are some from Nordie’s (not sure what your budget/style is):

Kensie lace dress

Aidan Mattox One Shoulder Dress – 60% off!

Pisarro Night Beads & Sequins Dress

We’re having a small, intimate ceremony for just immediate family followed by a nice dinner. Since the dinner will be over by 7pm (which is too much too early to call it a night), and I don’t want to chance ruining my dress (I need to wear it again for at-home ceremonies to celebrate with extended family and friends), I’ve decided to change into this fun little number:

I know the bow’s a bit much, but as I like to explain it, it’s me in dress form – cute and obnoxious all at the same time 🙂

I didn’t go out after the wedding (reception ended at 11 and we had to head to the airport at like 5 the next morning!) but I did have a short dress I changed into for the very end of the reception!

I’m thinking doing the same thing for the exact same reason!  One of the bridal stores let me know that Watters came out with a brand new line called Encore made for receptions, rehearsal dinners, etc.  As soon as they have all of their dresses in I will be trying them on.  They’re all online and super cute!! http://watters.com/CollectionHome/Encore/  I think most of them are about $200-$300.  Not sure if you want to spend that much but at least it’s less expensive than a second wedding dress!

I had a short dress for the reception as I wanted to be able to party and dance my butt off, I got it for $50 on clearance at DB. It was a tea-length wedding dress.
