So I really would love to have an all white bouquet but my photographer is motivating me to get a colored bouquet so that there is a contrast against my dress. He is pretty muchc saying that it will not look good.Did you have an all white/ivory bouquet? Did you wish you would have got one with more color?

My Maids and I each had cream / ivory roses with bright ribbon round the stems (I wore ivory, the girls wore black). I think it looked beautiful and had no issues with the flowers “popping”

i will have either purple or a mix of purple and white. but i always prefer colors. i dont think white will look bad at all – its one of the most traditional things for a bride to have a white or ivory bouquet!

I have decided that I will have red roses and my BMs will have white gerbera daisies. I agree that the contrast really makes it pop against the dress, especially after spending so much money on it.
I find like you miss how beautiful the flowers are:
but with greenery, it may work. 🙂

I am probably going to end up with ivory flowers but plan on adding purple or teal monkey tails for the “pop”

I’ll be having white flowers too! Do what you want. Your photographer can STFU, your wedding isn’t about making pretty pictures for him.
My bouquet will have cabbage roses, lilacs, ranunculus, and maybe a few others. 🙂

My bouquet will be all white as well, with curled wire and beads around the outside of the bouquet.

As long as you vary your textures with the white/ivory flowers you should be fine. Also, adding some greenery would also add some definition.

I think it’s pretty common to have a mostly white/ivory bouqet. Has this photographer had much experience with weddings? I’m wondering if he’s worried about exposure. He should know how to expose for white dress/white flowers. I mean, yes, a color bouquet is going to POP, but that doesn’t mean you should switch. You should get what YOU want!

I loved my ivory bouquet. When I was walking down the aisle, I didn’t want my bouquet to stand out.

mine will be all white with a few pops of blue. i don’t want the bouquet to take away from my dress!

I will be having a bouquet of white sweet peas. I think (hope!) it will be lovely. And you can always take separate pictures of your bouquet, or pics of you holding the bouquet in such a way that it’s not framed exclusively by your dress.

@magilnyc: just want to say I love black and white weddings! 🙂
Wrapping the stems with a colored satin the way Kemma did may be a good compromise. 🙂
