I ate way less than usual, but I have a bad stomach that I didn’t want to aggravate. No one came up during dinner or anything to try to talk. I think that serving people pretty closely together really helps with that. We had a buffet but it was two-sided and moved pretty quickly, so people weren’t waiting around to get in line.

At both my Destination Wedding and AHR I ate very little but for different reasons than normal.
At my Destination Wedding, I was sick the day of our wedding and didn’t feel like eating at all.
At the AHR: My husband did the corset on my dress up WAAAAYYY too tight, so I wasn’t able to eat very much without being uncomfortable. I had to get my sister to loosen it later in the night.

Ask the caterers to box some up so you will have it for you guys back in the room that night!

We had a head table and delicious food. I’m not sure why, but I didn’t eat as much as I normally do. I was a little distracted and busy, I don’t think it was nerves, but it could have been. It was sad though, because I was so looking foward to eating up all that food 🙂

I barely ate anything at the wedding, because I was trying to mingle with our guests. About 70 people showed up to our destination wedding and I wanted to make time for each of them. Luckily I had a big breakfast that morning and there was a pizza stand near the elevators to our hotel room. 🙂

I was also really looking forward to the food at our wedding. I was nervous, so my stomach felt a little funny. But, I also didn’t count on how tight my dress would be. It was a strapless mermaid style gown so it was really snug in the waist/stomach area both to keep it up and to give my figure nice definition. I knew from the fitting that it was tight, but I didn’t understand that no more than 3 bites would fit in there!
ETA: we had a sweetheart table so that we could eat undisturbed. When I realized that I couldn’t eat, Darling Husband and I abandoned the table to go mingle.

Our wedding reception was at the hall where we went to college. Having went to school there we knew the food wasn’t that great, but we were amazed at how good our wedding food turned out! Our guests still comment on it over a year later 🙂
I thought I wasn’t going to be able to eat the day of our wedding, but the day of our wedding was super relaxed and I sat down with my bridesmaids for both breakfast and lunch as well as supper!
I would say it’s best to sit down with your new husband at the reception and take the time to eat. It will make visiting with guests and dancing the rest of the night that much more enjoyable. Also, it gives you a little bit of time to talk with each other after the excitement of the ceremony and pictures!

Glad to see a lot of people were able to eat on their wedding day!

Since we didn’t have a bridal party, we didn’t have a head table. We actually ended up at the “kids” table. For some reason all the children came and sat with us! We had a buffet and we each got one plate. Then we had to go get changed to perform our dance, which we wanted to do while everyone else was still eating. And later, we had no time to grab any food at all. Thankfully, my mom made us a platter of leftovers to take back to our room afterwards. And we were eating wedding leftovers the whole week after, so we didn’t miss out too much, I guess. But I was pretty hungry the whole wedding day!

Oh I definitely could not eat due to nerves and just having too much fun with everyone! We did get our dinner to go, but by the time we got to the hotel we worried it had gone bad. (There was an issue with the shuttle bus.). But I am so mad because people constantly told us how good the food was!
So definitely EAT!

We ate at a sweetheart table with our 3 year old (it just made seating easier, I didn’t really have a preference). I ate like I normally would (probably more!) because I loved the food. We both just appreciate food, in general. We still made plenty of time to socialize with our guests.
