Hey, ladies. I am 5’9+ and just ordered my dress over the weekend. Looking back at pics and commenting on it in person, the dress was the perfect length barefoot. Now, I am worried that it will be too short with even low heels and called the shop to discuss paying an additional $150 to add length to my dress! Did you have to do this? If so, how tall are you? Was the gown the perfect length you needed after customizing the length or was there a problem?

What heel height were you planning on wearing? you dont want to pay for extra length and then end up with too much and have to pay to get it hemmed

@bells: Even without any shoes on the dress was the ideal length. Any heel would be too much, I’m afraid, and I did want the option of cute, funky kicks. 🙁

I’m 5’9 and I had to add length to my dress. I have shoes with a 2.5” heel (smaller than I normally wear, but my FH is shorter than me!). Once I put on my colored crinoline underneath it, it was even shorter! So, we added 4” and if it’s too LONg now, it’s much easier to hem it. However, mine was only $25 to add length to, so it was pretty nominal.

I’m 5’11 and had to add length to my dress. I’m wearing 2 1/2″ heels (also smaller than I normally wear but I don’t want to be FI’s height) and the dress is the perfect length.
