I wanted a round diamond and a YG 6 prong setting – but that was my input, he decided on everything else. The proposal was at Eiffel tower in Paris <3

I am in the middle of picking out my ring with my soon to be Fiance so we have only chosen the stone and not the setting it is a 2.4 Ct 8mm purple sapphire. I think it’s been a very great process picking it out together because not only do I get exactly what I want he doesn’t have to stress about whether or not I am going to like it. And it would have been especially hard for him since sapphires come in pretty much any color you could imagine. Plus it feels so special going into stores and trying on E rings together. Although I think I would have been happy with anything as long as I get to marry my best friend it doesn’t hurt to have the perfect ring :).

My Fiance and I picked mine out together. My fiance’s proposal was spontaneous (while on vacation in Italy – so romantic!) so he didn’t have a ring when he proposed. We went ring shopping together after we got home.

He knows less than nothing about jewelry, and I am not a big jewelry person either, so it was nice that we were able to do it together, learning as we went and taking both our opinions into account. I knew I wanted a nice classic solitaire, understated yet refined (just like me :))

I am glad we did it this way because I felt like I got the best of everything: 1. A surprise proposal, 2. Input on the ring 3. Didn’t have to wait for an official proposal after picking out a ring — I was able to wear it right out of the jewelry store!

I love my little sparkler so much, even after wearing it for a few months I never get tired of staring at it!

We designed mine together and selected the diamond. For such a big purchase, we both agreed that it was best to have me involved. He still wanted the proposal to be a surprise romantic moment- so after the ring was complete, he hid it away and suprised me with when/how he asked and even made a surprise gathering for our families afterward. I am glad we did it this way; it was perfect. We both love the ring because we designed it together and I’ll be proud to wear it forever.

I told him exactly what i wanted and he had it made. I wasn’t involved otherwise.

I’m very, very picky and it took several try-outs and returns before I found the final winner. I proposed with my fiancée’s ring and then we went on a months-long journey to find mine. Ultimately, I liked saving money and a larger look for my chunky fingers, and the OMC cushion moissy was too good to pass up.

I did not help pick out my ring but we were just laying in bed one night and he was asking me about what kinds of rings I liked. Little did I know, he had already bought me a ring and i described it almost exactly! The only thing I didn’t anticipate was the black diamond but I love it and it’s so perfect. He literally picked it out all by himself.

We went to Blue Nile together and I saw the ring and couldn’t stop staring. He chose the diamond and everything, but I guided him to what I loved. I really loved the infinity setting, which has deeper meaning to it but isn’t overwhelming IMO. I love looking at it esp in the sunlight.
