We picked out my ring together, but my husband and I are best friends, so we pick everything out together (i.e. my dress, his ring, our flowers, etc).

We shopped together. I had my eye on online for a LONG time, then decided it was time to start looking so we could actually see what it looked like on. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what I had in mind… so we (he actually) found something very similiar and I actually liked it even more once it was on – and that’s the one he got me.

It’s in my profile pic, but a round halo. It’ll have two wedding bands with it.

We picked it out and bought it together, and it was a lovely experience and really nice memory for the both of us. πŸ™‚

Mrs.Sawyertobe:  I picked my ring. Only because I wanted something very specific, sort of. I wanted an antique and there were certain things I liked and certain things I didn’t like. Fiance asked me to show him some pictures of rings I liked and when I found “the one” I told him that was it. So he bought it. I had no idea he purchased it and was completely shocked that he actually got me the ring I wanted. I am still in love with it after a year of engagement

If I had it my way I would have gotten a pear shape, however my husband really didn’t want a pear, because he doesn’t like points (pear, princess, marquise). We compromised and got a beautiful round brilliant instead. Although the stone was a team effort, I chose my setting by myself. Fortunately my husband loves it too! (Oh and I made him agree that I get a pear someday, haha! Perhaps as a pendant!)

We never even had a conversation about it. He just knew exactly what I would want (princess cut, cathedral setting, symmetrical wedding bands, white gold) and bought the whole shebang– e-ring and wedding bands.

Yup! Fiance and I started ring about 10-12 weeks before he proposed. I had no idea what I wanted (I didn’t even know my ring size!), so I’m glad we went. I ended up really liking the look of a cushion cut stone with a very delicate micropave halo on a micropave band. After I’d determined what I liked, my fiance went back and actually picked the stone and particular setting.

Funnily enough, he was determined to have my ring custom made by our jeweler, and he ended up purchasing an already made ring that they had on hand! He was impatient to propose and it fit exactly what I was looking for. I had even tried it my exact ring on when we were ring shopping and loved it, so I’m really happy it ended up being mine. πŸ™‚

I helped with mine. I wanted a large OEC in a plain subtle six prong setting. So that’s what we got. Haha

My partner was amazing with picking out my ring. We went to the city and went into random jewellers. The second store we walked past was amazing and they made it so easy for us. most people seem to find it stressful searching for that one ring yet it took me one look and i had found ‘the one’.

My partner was very open minded and we both loved the same style which made it that little bit easier πŸ™‚ I looked online and thought i loved the thicker settings and we were going to buy online yet when i went in and tried on different styles i found the very thin band was actually what i fell inlove with.  It really does pay off to try on what suits you before you buy!! Atleast then neither of you will be disappointed πŸ™‚

mine is currently getting custom designed, a halo setting with a .50 brilliant round centre stone. (Size 4 finger) I’m so excited!!!!  P.S, your ring is just devine!!!

I picked mine alone!! I’m very particular that he stayed out of the process all together! LOL He knew I was going to get the best deal for the dollar. He finally saw it when it arrived and was on my hand! I love it!

Oh I lead the process πŸ˜‰ She would have gotten me a halo because she loves them. I picked my setting (stone is an heirloom) and hers! πŸ™‚

My first engagement ring we designed together it was a 1.2 carat round brilliant diamond in a rose gold crown style solitaire setting. Unfortunately I lost that ring shortly after we got married. I was devastated so my hubby surprised me with a beautiful .83 carat princess cut diamond in a Neil Lane Halo setting with matching band in white gold. Its the complete opposite of my original ering but im so glad he went and picked it himself because I never would have given it a second look..its so gorgeous and I love it even more than my solitaire
