We had an idea of what time frame we wanted, but we didn’t set a date until we chose our venue, then the date was just based on venue availability during our time frame. So it was probably about a month or so after the proposal.

One of the first things Fiance said to me after he proposed and we were gushing and excited was the date he thought would be good. It was the day after our 6 year anniversary that fell on a Saturday. He also said this year he wanted to get married, so I had 6 months to plan. So for 2 weeks it was that date, but then bc his work schedule, we moved it back 1 week. It was cute how he thought it through before even he had asked me.

I am a bit of a super planner so I sat him down over lunch the next day and we talked over what we wanted. When we decided on Rome my guy immediately called up the church we wanted and talked to them and we found out of date right then and there… lord I love him!
So, we hit the ground running with plans because he’s like me and just wants to get things done. That said, if it weren’t for the fact that we both knew we’d want Rome and that specific church (and therefore working to find a schedule with them) I am fairly sure it would have taken weeks.

We enjoyed our engagment for a couple months, moved in together, then set a date. We got engaged in Dec., and set the date in mid-March. We are very excited, 14 months as of today!
