    So far my engagement ring is insured and I’m sure we will insure the bands as well.

    I haven’t yet, but I will be adding it as a rider on my renter’s insurance policy.  Just have to get them appraised first!

    I think our yearly premium is about $40 for full coverage on me e-ring. Didn’t both insuring the wedding band as it wasn’t nearly as expensive

    My e-ring is insured through Jewelers Mutual, and we will insure the wedding bands too.  This was a good reminder to start that process!

     ETA:  My e-ring insurance is about $45 per year.  This varies by the value of the ring (obviously) and where you live.  When I lived in Brooklyn, it cost twice as much to insure.

    Yes, it was attached to our house insurance. I’m covered for everything, so if i am on a plane and i fall out and die, Fiance can get life insurance and the cost to replace my ring ahaha.

    Horrible joke.

    I haven’t yet, but I really have to get on it.  I did the research and got the appraisal, I just haven’t made the final step yet.  Fiance keeps reminding me about it (which is odd since he always forgets everything) because we live in NYC and he has a friend who lives in our neighborhood who’s home was broken into and their engagement ring stolen (along with other random things).  Rather safe than sorry.

    @Swizzle, that is too funny!

    Engagement Ring only.  My wedding ring is a thin plain white gold band that cost maybe $300, so it wouldn’t be worth it.

    Only my engagement ring is insured on my homeowners.  My wedding band was just a little over 1k, so we didnt bother to add that on.

    All we have is the insurance policy if a diamond falls out or something with the jewlery store. It doesn’t cover if I lose it.

    Not yet.  We have the noble intention of putting it on our renter’s insurance…when we get renter’s insurance.

    We added my engagement ring to our homeowner’s insurance right after I said yes!  We will probably add our wedding rings, though mine only cost $150.  FI’s was more expensive, and he may very well lose it at some point.

    Both of my rings are insured through the jewerly stored we bought them at, thank god because I have already had to fix my ring 4 times.
