Darling Husband and I were thinking about this the other night. Will there just be one night after sex that we just “feel” like that was it…like that was the one? I don’t know…I am just wondering if I will sort of have a gut feeling that we are pregnant before finding out for sure? Does this even make sense?

I absolutely knew with both of mine. Not right after having relations, but right before I was due to get my period. With my second I kept having dreams about trying to take a pregnancy test and everyone kept interupting me. After like the third night of having the dream, I took a test and I was pregnant!

We totally knew! I don’t know how to explain it, but it was like the next day when my husband said, “I think you might be pregnant.” Of course there’s no logical or rational explanation to why we would have known at that point, but we did. We didn’t even test until I was a month along because we were so convinced I was already pregnant.
Also, I should mention that we were charting, so we knew when I was ovulating and when our “best chance” at conception would be. We also got pregnant our first month trying, so that might have had something to do with it, too.

Who knows?! We like to think we know the exact time we “did it” that was the winner but we honestly do not know.

Definitely not! The doctors always ask the “date of last period” at OB visits, and I didn’t even know that, much less the date of conception. Of course, that’s how we wound up with an “oops baby” in the first place… 😉

We have a pretty good idea, but I kept expecting that I’d feel some lightning bolt from the heavens or something, and I really couldn’t tell for sure until 3 or 4 days before the missed cycle.

I knew with both my pregnancies. The first time, I knew within days. Mind you I didn’t want to know and tried to convince myself that I was just feeling off. So I was about 5 weeks along when I did take the test.
Second time, I knew the next morning. My partner and I had been unusually intense, and when I woke up I just knew my body. I told him staright away teasingly, he didn’t believe me. I took a pregnancy test when I would of been about a week along, and it was negative. My mind said Phew, but my heart knew it had been to early. So at three weeks when I still couldn’t shake it, I tested again, and bingo, positive. I am now 9 weeks.
And yes, I know that I conceived from those specific nights just because of timing. and the fact that every other week my partner goes away with work.
Every woman is different however. A friend of mine was 7 months before she found out she was pregnant. She had a light period the whole way and thought she was just unwell. Bit of a shock for her when she found out.

No, didn’t know. I don’t think your body even knows for a week until implantation! But I guess some people have a sixth sense 🙂

I woke up the next morning and I knew 100% that we had just conceived. It sounds crazy, but I absolutely knew. Just like Mrs. Spring, we were ttc and this was our first month so I knew the timing was right but it was that “6th sense” that I couldn’t shake.

I was pretty sure probably by day 24 (maybe earlier) of my cycle bc of breast changes.

No to the first, but yes to the second. I thought I had the flu with the first..lol
The second I knew less than a week after conception (caribou coffee and a bumpy car ride..blurg) Which considering I was on the pill was a bit alarming… the pregnancy test was so faintly pink, the one two days later a wee bit darker, two days after that much darker, and the one a full week after suspicion. DARK PINK.
I think once you’ve been pregnant, you know the early early signs.
But then both my pregnancies were total body experiences.

With my oldest, I had a feeling, but only bc my boyfriend at the time made an unexpected deposit in the baby bank….I wasn’t happy. It was the night before I was leaving on a 9 day vacation by myself so I guess we were overcome with affection or whatever. I was the last person who wanted to have a baby, but I just had that nagging feeling, and sure enough, when I took the test a few weeks later on my birthday, SURPRISE!! With my other kids, I knew before I took the test, but only bc I knew sore boobies + feeling icky + feeling tired = baby.

As you know, we were not trying. We werent even married. So, timing means nothing to me.
I knew IMMEDIATELY when we conceived. I did not include this info in my blog post about being pregnant since I felt it was a little bit Too Much Information, but yeah, I knew. No idea how I knew since we were using birth control, but something just told me I was pregnant. And now you think im crazy.
I even remember what I was wearing that day and what we did after (ate thai food and watched Gossip Girl).

Dumpling…I don’t think you are crazy….I am actually hoping the exact same thing happens to me!!
