that he drank half a bottle of wine and then finished my glass?? lol no seriously….

I had absolutely no idea… FH had always talked about getting married in a few years, and I seriously thought it was a few years away, we had only been going out 18 months.. anyway he took one of my rings to the jewellers and had gotten the ring 3 months before he proposed!! anyway he proposed on my birthday… πŸ™‚ best birthday present ever lol.

I knew he had told his parets, talked to my parents, and I sent him a whole bunch of ring photos.

He gave me an idea (like saying he’ll do it during a certain month) but totally surprised me with the perposal. We were going away for a weekend so I expected it then, but he shocked me by doing it the day before we left That was unexpected.

I had NO idea. Didn’t know he had bought the ring, didn’t know a proposal was anywhere near about to happen. We got engaged in June; I though for sure he would wait at least till December or this spring. I was SHOCKED–practically started to hyperventilate lol.

Unfortunately I already knew. My Fiance looked to my sister for advice and she spilled the beans to me. I was completely bummed, she even went as far as emailing the pic of the ring to me and telling that he drove 5 hours to ask my dad. I was pretty sad and my Fiance was NOT happy with her but oh well thats the breaks.

I knew it would be happening in the future, mostly because we had been discussing marriage for some time and he had asked to have a conversation with my parents the last time we had visited them. He had planned a very romantic weekend for us in Providence RI, this from a man who rarely scedules anything. After he booked a beautiful hotel and started talking about all the things he wanted us to do over the weekend I knew to pack for a VERY special weekend πŸ™‚

My Fiance and I had looked at rings and he kept saying he didn’t have the money.  We’re both living with our parents until the wedding to save as much money as we can, so when we were going out of town for a weekend I figured that would be when he would do it.  We got there and he only had one thing planned for us the entire weekend.  I wasn’t at all surprised when that one thing included proposing.

I knew my hubs was going to propose, I just had no clue when. At the beginning of 2008, I had a feeling that was going to be the year but when December rolled around, I stopped thinking about it. This was probably the best thing as I was SUPER surprised the day it happened which was my 27th bday on December 16 of 2008 :).

We has talked about it, & I KNEW we were going to be engaged sometime soon…he wouldn’t really give me any hints about the ring but everytime he took me out I kept wondering if THIS was the time. He def. took me by suprise bc I pretty much gave up on guessing πŸ™‚

We talked about it and I knew it would happen before New Year’s, and possibly on our anniversary, which it did. What I didn’t know – he custom ordered my dream ring from the jeweler’s 6 weeks before! I had no idea! πŸ™‚

Yes, we’d picked out the ring together so I knew he was going to propose. And he tried to surprise me with the when and where but I had a feeling that he was going to do it while we were at his parents’ for Christmas. And he did.

My fiance also went off by himself and picked out the ring. I had no clue it was going to happen! We had talked a little about our future but he always said he wanted to be out of school and he wanted to have a good job before we even thought about getting married. But he proposed with a year left before he graduates. We were in the Smoky Mountains on vacation, took a looooong hike back to a waterfall where he got down on one knee and asked my to be his wife. So cute, did not expect the proposal nor the way he did it. Awsome feeling not knowing!

I kind of had a hunch, but I refused to believe it.  I kept trying to convince myself that it wasn’t going to happen, which made the proposal a big surprise!

I didnt know for sure but he was so NOT slick!! He was taking phone calls in the backyard, staying late at work and talking to his dad on the phone for 2 hours. It was very bizarre!!! Then I suggested we go down to the lake in Georgia for labor day weekend …kind of as a thing that I didnt think he would actually do and he was like OK and booked the plane tickets right then. He then said we should invite my mom and my brothers. haha He thought I had NO clue!!!

Oh! I forgot to mention that I absolutly hate surprises. Hate them hate them hate them!!! I hate being unpreparred and not knowing about things.

Had the Fiance surprised me, it probably wouldn’t have gone over well. He knew this and even said that to me. That’s why he told me a month becuase that way he got to throw some surprise in there – but anything else would’ve probably driven me crazy!
