That would be so cool! Especially if it is one of those cool old time-y kind… and usually  they have pretty views!

It’s super popular to get married at the lighthouses here in Fla.  The St. Augustine Lighthouse is booked out for months usually.

Lighthouses are also popular venues in Maine – but most aren’t large enough to hold everyone on the top platform, so you have guests standing on the stairways – even with a pretty small guest list.  (The one we looked at would only hold the pastor, bride, groom and 2 other people!)

I’m getting married at Absecon Lighthouse in Atlantic City in Dec. They have many weddings there. We opted to have the reception at a resturant but in the summer, you can rent a tent and have it all catered. It is a very large piece of property. We both volunteer there and have always loved lighthouses. We won’t be married up top but will make the trek of 228 steps after our vows. We are having approx 50 guests. Good luck

I think it sounds really cool but the lighthouses I’ve been in are fairly small and out families wouldn’t fit! But I would definately consider doing it outside with the lighthouse in the background! And if you want a small ceremony it could be perfect!
