Yes, a TV show in Australia called Neighbours!

Also, he almost never ate breakfast, but I cannot make it out of the house without eating breakfast! We have been living together almost 3 years now and he is much better with that one!

Haha, I sure did!

The first is that is he unbelivably clean! He keeps the box to every single item he purchases and it`s pretty fun! The second was that his xbox habits and hours spent on gaming where more than I could have ever imagined! grrr πŸ™

I learned that Fiance is pretty messy. His mom was like a Suzy Homemaker and always cleaned up after him so I had no idea just how bad he was until we moved in together about 5 years ago. He’s gotten a little better but I could definitely do without his laziness when it comes to cleaning and such.

That he does his laundry, folds it neatly, then leaves it on the couch for weeks on end without putting it away. πŸ™‚

We both discovered that he is a great cook. When he lived alone, he always ate out. Once we started living together when we went food shopping he would pick out foods and learned how to cook them. I’m so happy i live with a man who can cook.

I found out exactly how much of a cleaner person he is then me! I always knew he was very organized but the man will wake up an hour early before work if theres dishes that need to be done! Not that I’m complianing….lol. But hes kinda almost maybe a little bit annoying with it…My CLEAN clothes on the floor does NOT make me dirty!!! He just doesn’t understand that! haha

That he’s even more of a neat freak than I thought he was! Which is a good thing, though. I’d much rather live with a neat freak than a slob πŸ˜‰

my man is definitely a clean freak, i always knew that he was organized, but his cleanliness sort of makes me feel bad. he too will wake up before work just to do the dishes and clean the kitchen, and it makes me feel bad that i am not the one diong it!

he also obsesses over his clothes and shoes way more than i thought he did, and also brushes his teeth at least 3, if not 4 times a day.

he also HAS TO WATCH THE 11 O CLOCK NEWS EVERY SINGLE FREAKING NIGHT! it is sooooo annoying! he won’t go to bed before watching it, no matter what time he has to wake up in the morning. if i am watching a movie, i have to turn it off just so he doesn’t miss a second of the 11 o clock news. πŸ™‚ what a weirdo.

I was very surprised to learn how well we lived together.  We had/have similar habits when it comes to cleanliness, sleeping patterns, chore delegation, tv shows etc.  I thought for sure I was going to need a lot of patience, compromising, deal-making, etc…haha.

The one thing that did surprise me though was his poor eating habits haha.  Take-out pizza was his idea of a meal.  I had to slowly introduce him to the idea of a healthy, balanced meal (protein, starch, vegetable).  Luckily that wasn’t too hard since I do all of the cooking….by choice, I love it!

Congrats on this next big step in your relationship and I hope it goes as smoothly as it did for me!

I learned that Fiance would live in pajama pants 24/7 if he had the choice. And that he will happily go down to our building’s basement to do the laundry or take the trash out to the dumpster in the alley in said pj pants and bare feet.

I have never heard someone complain so much about putting on “real pants” in my life, lol.

Gosh – it took us a long, long time to settle living together. It was mostly lovely, but our ways of living were so different (I can’t even explain what was different) that it took ages.

The one thing that got us through was being honest at totally random moments. e.g. “I know you haven’t noticed, but I’m really upset that you didn’t write who the Christmas presents are from so the recipients won’t know that this year they are from both of us…” or “Why don’t you ask me if I have any washing to be done before you put the washing machine on?”

We’ve been living together nearly 5 1/2 years now and are engaged, so it all worked out πŸ™‚
