I have had several…many girlfriends tell me they lost a “bunch of weight” the 2 weeks before their wedding due to stress, running around and who knows what else. I must say, I was looking forward to it!!
Anyway, I’m 9 days out and have been conscious about what I eat and working out. My dress doesn’t leave room for much of anything but a smile so I have to stay as lean as possible, but as far as just dropping random weight? That hasn’t happened. My one friend’s dress was gappy b/c she dropped a considerable amount and there was no time to alter! I can’t imagine that.
So ladies, did your body change at all in the weeks leading up to your wedding?

OK well I screwed up the poll, but you get the picture…

BurlapnLace: I stayed the same. One friend had the same thing as your friend and meant she had quite a gap at the top. Everyone’s different though.

I have lost 14lbs in the last 4 months, I wanted to loose more but with various batchelorette weekends and over indulgence I have stayed the same for the past 3 weeks, now with the wedding 2 weeks away and the final fitting for my dress next week I am thinking I need to stay the same between now and the wedding. My wedding has been fairly stress free so no weight dropping because of that!

I lost about 6 pounds from changing eating and some gym time. I cut out all beer and that helped but I still drink liquor. I honestly could have tried harder to loose weight but I am a smaller person so I wasnt overly concerned. I wish I lost about 5 more from stress that would be great. haha I know i am lamE.

BurlapnLace: I would say if anything I maybe lost a pound. I def didn’t drastically lose 5 lbs or anything that would make my dress not fit

Stay the same within 5 pounds, tho that is the norm for me for the last 10+ years since I was 18 or so.

Boxerlover24: That’s what I’m thinking. I can’t imagine anything that drastic happening between now and next week!

BurlapnLace: I lost a few pounds without meaning to, as work was really crazy and between that and wedding planning and our kitchen being remodeled (I know, we’re crazy) my appetite was just non-existent. I’m only 5’3″ and didn’t really have any weight to lose, so those few pounds were enough to make my dress a bit loose – I don’t think anyone noticed, and it still looked good, just not quite as form fitting 🙂

I stayed the same, and was actually unable to workout a few weeks leading up to the wedding because I was sick and didn’t want to over-work my body. Not that that would have changed anything, but you never know. Nothing drastic, anyway.
Yes, I wish I would have lost 5lbs., but I was fine with where I was at. My last fitting was 2 weeks before my wedding, and I was worried that I could lose some, but my dress fit great and everything was good.

BurlapnLace: i lost around 8 pounds in the last 10 days! i was soo busy i hardly had time to eat, and when i could eat i got nauseous because of the anxiety. i wish i hadn’t though, because my stomach was all messed up on our honeymoon and i got super bloated. so it isn’t all good. 😉

We are two days out.. at the final fitting my dress was SUPER tight [not so tight that I have to jump around or hold my breathe.. but still a tight squeeze], so I haven’t lost. I’ve been trying to watch what I eat so I don’t pack on the pounds before the day.

I lost weight but I don’t think anything the last two weeks. The weight flew off after the wedding.

I worked hard to tone up a couple of months before my wedding and then after my last fitting my dress fit perfectly. I did notice on my wedding day and in my photos that the top of my dress looked gappy and loose compared to the photos I took during my fitting. I didn’t weigh myself or really feel like I dropped weight but I definitely did just enough to notice in the fit of the dress.

BurlapnLace: My wedding was relatively stress-free so I didn’t lose any major weight right before. And I had my last fitting a week before the wedding to make sure the dress fit perfectly.
