I lost weight for my wedding.

My figure is like yours – we are both short and on the outside, don’t look like we need to lose weight at all!

But I was self conscious about my arms too and I’m really glad I lost the weight.

It was only about 4kg – but when you are 5 foot tall, that makes a big difference!

I don’t think anyone should lose weight just for their wedding, do it because you want to do it to be healthier for your everday life.  Wedding can be a big motivator though =)

I am 260 pounds at this time and very unhappy with my weight. After the holidays I will be joining a gym and working out 4 days a week. But this is for a lifestyle change not really for the wedding. I am hoping to lose 40 lbs by my wedding and 60lbs by this time next year. I will work my hardest and eat the best and see where I go from there my goal weight is 185.

This is what I look like now in the dress that I already bought.

@marinewife4:  You look beautiful! I don’t think you need to lose any weight, but if it would make you feel more beautiful on your big day, then you should do what you like (I don’t think there is an extra 20lbs on you to lose though!). I lost about 6 intentionally, then another couple unintentionally the week before the wedding.

@marinewife4:

I know the feeling, I hate my arms too, they’re so big and sumo like

I’m going to try and lose another 15 lbs for my wedding, but not sure I can do it because my body has never been lower than 140 and I’m already 41.

@marinewife4:  Well I only took about 3-4 weeks to lose weight. I had packed on extra weight from eating a ton of desserts everyday- my weakness!! So cutting out desserts pretty well shed the weight. I’d hold off for a while- I think they say 1-2 lbs/week is healthiest?

@marinewife4:  We’re the same height! And about the same weight!

I’m 5’0″ and the last time I weighed myself I was about 130. I wear a size 8.

I don’t exercise and my eating habits haven’t been the best lately (hello, holiday season). Typically when I do exercise moderately and eat reasonably I weigh 125.

My goal weight before the wedding is 115, too! I don’t want to go anything below 110.

My fiance doesn’t want me to lose weight either, but if it’s going to make you more confident and feel better I say do it!

Today I’m going back to the gym for the first time in a couple of months. I’m scared to step on the scale. lol

@marinewife4:  I lost about 15lbs just due to normal stress of the wedding… My dress fit with just a tiny bit of “pooch” when I bought it in december and by the time I walked down the aisle, I needed alterations to tighten the top but had no time so I kind of wish I didn’t lose the weight… although my arms looked pretty nice, I’m not sure it was worth always having to pull my dress up!

@marinewife4:  Yes, I always feel better in general when I’m working out regularly.

I totally get what you’re saying. When I was exercising about 4-5 times a week I couldn’t get under 123. That was my plateu and I couldn’t figure out how to get under it.
