My dress was one of those happy moments – I saw the dress in the store, then on a model, then on myself and just knew I wanted to get married in it. I hope it turns out ok too 🙂

@asscherlover: you’re wearing the fanal!! this was my first love at a bridal salon. i was obsessed with it for awhile, but in the end i realized i didn’t like the way satin looked on me, and went with an organza dress. i still love the lines of the fanal tho!

is yours in oyster, or ivory?

I hated the photo of my dress on the model and loved how I felt wearing it. The photos of me were so/so until I took the crinoline out. 🙂

Oh gosh, absolutely. This is how the sad sample looked on me (not my veil btw) and I was terrified:

Had my first fitting this week with my gown that’s been adjusted for my height. I’m also a few pounds lighter. I feel much better about it:

@MrsTimmy:  Haha, sure. It’s black magic roses and karma chocolate dahlias with fern fronds, black feathers and red rhinestones.

@zippylef:  You’re bouquet looks EXACTLY like what I was trying to explain to my florist, but I couldn’t find anything online like what I wanted!

@zippylef:  Your bouquet is crazy gorgeous. I love how romantic it is with a whimsical feel from the fronds.

I haven’t been able to bring myself to buy a dress yet because when I love them on me I don’t like the pictures…Same with my e-ring actually. lol. I love me e-ring, but pretty much hate the way it looks in pictures.

@techie:  Thanks! That stupid face I was making in that second picture is right when they handed it to me for the first time and I was checking it out. I freaked out and squealed like a 13-year-old. lol

@asscherlover:

Hi,

 I LOVE your dress!  can you tell me the name and the color of it, and also the color of your veil?  I Have a similar colored dress,a nd the ivory veils I have tried are too yellow for it.

Thanks!

@kimmyd:  I don’t know anything about the veil. It came with the dress. I’m 95% sure that it is white, but I didn’t buy it so I don’t know for sure.

The dress is La Sposa Fanal in Oyster. I ended up making my own veil (not pictured) that has ivory lace that looks white next to the dress.

i feel this way sometimes.. I love the way it looks and feels in person, but in photos I feel like it just emphasizes my belly and I look wide and too heavy.  I have always been a bit broad so I am determined to wear a boldly coloured sash to highlight my waist and make it narrower but my dress choice might not suit the belt so well.

I’m just hoping that MY dress, with the neckline altered to the dramatic sweetheart I want and the right sash will look better.  I’ll add photos in a min
