What did you guys do when you decided to shack up – either before or after the wedding.
I moved into his place because my place was 375 sq feet (yikes! but I miss downtown LA terribly.) He had lived there with an ex for 2 years which was uncomfortable at first. Once I started painting walls and buying new sheets, it wasn’t so bad,

When my Fiance got back from Iraq, we got a house. We’ve been long distance for years, so the question doesn’t *really* apply to us. I get to hold down the fort until November while he lives with a married army buddy (just the dude, the wife lives in TX or something) in a small apartment that his housing allowance covers. So he kinda gets to move in with me =]

We have moved twice, and neither time did one of us move in with the other.
First, we got separate apartments when we moved across the country together. Then we got a house together in our new city.
I wouldn’t have a problem moving in with one or the other, it just didn’t work that way for us.

Ooh, I smell an opportunity for a poll! (With options not just "his place" or "a new place" but also him moving to your place.)
Us, we got a new place together. Our jobs happen to be two blocks from each other in the city, so we moved to be closer to work.

My parents moved away to a different city and didn’t want to go with them so I ended up moving in with my Fiance parents while he was finishing up school in Texas, so for a couple of months it was just me and the InLaws, no bigge were quite close
FI moved home in May 2007 and we bought a house in February 2008 and have been there a year now! love it! just our nice starter place, we’ll definetly be looking for a house in a couple of years

We both had apartments and we decided to rent a house and came out cheaper than we did living apart. We have since bought our own house because we were just paying for a house that didnt belong to use.

Fiance moved into my apartment about a year before we got engaged – better location, cheaper rent, bigger. I have lived there almost 4 years now! We are currently house/condo hunting now though. I will be a little sad to leave.

I owned my house when we met & he had an apartment. He bought his house 7 months later and asked me to move in. I told him I would move in when we had been dating a bit longer…being a bit gun-shy about living with someone again.
I moved in with him a year later and sold my house. It’s been great, I’m really happy that we live together, but ugh, I loved my house, and I miss my central a/c,

- Wedding: September 2009 - City Hall
Mr. MJ moved in to my place when we first moved in together. He had a bad roommate situation and I needed a roommate, so we took it from there! A few months later we moved in to a new place that was really "ours together" instead of just "my place where he lives too". Tomorrow we continue our journey together as we buy our first house!!

I moved in with him. I couldn’t afford my own rent anymore , and it was only 100 yards away anywho! lol.

He took me in:) I was just a loly college kid with bad roommates who was dating him and he let me move in rent/bill free. We dont have rent/morgage so all he pays is utilities anyways. I love my FH so much.

We met in school… so dorm life, currently my place, and we are currently looking for a new place… our first new together place! =)
I’m nervous and excited! But, I am thankful to have gotten over the first year of living together at my place… I’m a neat freak and he is a slob… I’m neurotic and he is laid back. A few fights, but it was an otherwise easy transition.
