I’d say my husband had a fine buzz going on the night before the wedding from the Rehearsal Dinner.  He wasn’t plastered but he was annoying haha 🙂  He definitely did not have a hangover the next day.

@Silly_love:  I don’t plan to have more than one or two glasses of sparkling wine before the ceremony.  FI has already agreed no more than one liquor drink and one shot before the ceremony.  His bachelor party is three nights before the wedding to give him and the guys time to recover.

I am not concerned about me doing this, but my fiance!  His groomsmen are very wild and who knows what they consider a few drinks!  I would be lying if I said I was not going ot have a drink or two before the ceremony.  I only plan on having a few mimosas starting at like 8 am which should be out of my system by the time of the ceremony at 4 pm.

My Brother-In-Law had very strict instructions to keep my husband sober enough so the vows were legal. I don’t think they ended up drinking at all before the wedding.  The night before they were out at a bar but he was also being watched.  🙂

I’m not worried. Fiance doesn’t drink and I’m not a big drinker. I often get ‘tired’ of the taste of alcohol before I get drunk. I can’t explain it, it just stops tasting good after awhile.

@Silly_love:  As a Maid/Matron of Honor, I did get totally shit faced at the rehearsal dinner for my sister. It was terrible and I was daring cousins to keep up with me. I made it to the wedding but I felt like shit and was eating Tums like candy until at least 5pm. Thirteen years later my sister swears I hardly smiled in any photos but I might have just been trying to keep it all together.

Definitely recommend LESS is more the night before and morning of.

I sure hope FH doesn’t over do it. I’ll be PISSSSSSSSSSSSSED!

Our entire bridal party – including DH and myself – were hung over the morning of the wedding.  All of our family and friends were in town that night, so we were celebrating not only with the bridal party, but also with relatives and friends we hadn’t seen in a while.

Fortunately, we had an evening wedding, so we all had the day to recover.  The boys didn’t make their 8am golf game, though.

Yeah this is a huge fear of mine. I’m limiting myself to 2-3 drinks the night before at our welcome party and then I am sure I won’t make it through more than one mimosa in the morning. I mostly don’t want to be dehydrated.

All the boys (and 2 of my girls–who stayed in the same hotel as the boys) had a bit too much to drink the night before the wedding, but by the time the first-look rolled around and the ceremony happened, all was good.

My dad tells a horror story about his batchelor party the night before the wedding (poor idea) that ended with him hungover and bleeding at the knees through his white suit at the altar.

It is a cautionary tale that is seared into the brain of not only my Fiance, but my little brother.

I’m not drinking AT ALL at the rehearsal – I don’t want to be puffy the next day.

My husband had his bachelor party the night before our wedding, and I knew when he called me at 3:30 in the morning to tell me about it that he’d had a bit too much to drink. He never seems to have hangovers, or else is very good at hiding it, so he was fine the next day. Can’t say the same for his best man, however…
