I ordered from Casablanca and they do hem to hollow.  They are pretty good about what they will let you change.  If you want to get an idea visit jaysbridal.net and check out the dress options.

SanDiegoAli, have you found the dress you want to buy yet? If so, find out if the designer offers extra-length gowns, or if your particular dress can be lengthened to fit your needs. I’m sure there’s a way for you to have a gown that’s the right length for you! Maybe a thread about best designers for tall brides could help! I’ll look into it.

I ordered my dress from Allure and they offered hem to hollow services for my dress. I have the opposite problem (5’2") but they did an amazing job, especially with the train and beading so that it didn’t look out of proportion.

I have the opposite problem too (5’0").  My dress was by Jasmine…I had to pay extra for the custom length, but it was worth it 🙂

@Ms. Peachy:  How long did it take for your dress to come in once you ordered it? I’m about to purchase Allure 8856 and I’m 5′ so I definitely want to do the hollow to hem also.

I ordered hollow to hem because I’m 4’11” and my dress had appliques and beading at the hem.  The dress was from Bonny.

I ordered hollow to hem because I’m 5’0 and my dress had lace and beading at the hem. I wore 4 inch heels. My dress was Casablanca and it took about 6 months to come in…

I got mine from Casablanca as well. They’ll do pretty much anything you want for very little extra cost.

@nycbrde2011:  Hallow is the nackline and hem is, well, the hem. If you order a hallow-to-hem dress, you order the length exactly the length you need from hallow-to-hem. Sometimes, dresses are only available hallow-to-hem because there is no waist an the hem is decorated and cannot be taken up.
